Glee Season One [Review]

Image
Hello! So today I'm going to be reviewing Glee Season One [which doesn't have many episodes to begin with], so without further ado, let's get started. Rating: TV-14 Genres: Comedy, Drama, Musical Creators: Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk, Ryan Murphy Cast: Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays, Jane Lynch, Harry Shum Jr. Summary: A group of ambitious misfits join a high school glee club headed by passionate Spanish teacher, Will Schuester, and learn valuable lessons about music, and life in general. My Thoughts: Glee isn't really my type of show, but I grew to love it. First of all, there's music in every episode in various genres. Whether you like pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, showtunes, there's probably at least one song in a genre that you like. And that's just in the first season.  Glee also deals with real problems high schooler...

July Recap

Image
July was one of the best months I've had in a long time. Not that other months have been bad. This one was just especially good. I think this is mostly because I had the entire month off from school. Being homeschooled, I don't get to do that very often, so it was really exciting. Alright, now onto the next part of the recap. Books Read in July All of these were SO GOOD. Especially The Reader. Good thing it's a series! Movies Watched in July I think there was at least one other movie I watched, but I can't remember what it was. Anyway, these three were pretty great.  TV Shows Watched in July Seasons 2 and 3 LOST is a great show. Somewhat confusing? Yes. But definitely worth a watch. I just skipped around through various seasons. This is one of those shows I mostly just watch with my family, and then we quote it......a lot.  Season Three It was a pretty good season, but I felt like the quality went downhill a bit, so I'll probably just rewatch the first two seasons, ...

The Reader [Book Review]

Image
Hello. So, you may have noticed Blogger has been acting weird lately, so I had to make this a Google Doc, and then transfer it to Blogger, so…..sorry if the quality isn't the best. Anyway, today I’ll be reviewing the newest book I finished. This is book one in the Sea of Ink and Gold trilogy. Genres: YA/sci-fi/fantasy Author: Traci Chee Page Count: 437 Summary: Sefia knows what it means to survive. After her father is brutally murdered, she flees into the wilderness with her aunt, Nin, who teaches her to hunt, track, and steal. But when Nin is kidnapped, leaving Sefia completely alone, none of her survival skills can help her discover where Nin’s been taken, or if she’s even alive. The only clue left behind to her aunt’s disappearance and her father’s murder is the odd, rectangular object her father left behind, an object she comes to realize is a book-a marvelous item unheard of in her otherwise illiterate society.  With the help of this book, and the aid of a mysterious stranger ...

Hello! So, yes, I decided to do some more tags. So, first up, The Bedtime Book Tag. A Book That Kept You Up All Night Hmmmm, I don't think I've ever stayed up all night for a book, but the longest I've stayed up for a book is Everblaze, because I needed to return it to the library, because my family was moving. A Book That Made You Scared to Sleep None, really. A Book That Made You Go to Sleep Hmmm, well, I was bored by the original Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. It was too long. A Book That Left You Tossing and Turning All Night in Anticipation of its release Legacy, for sure. A Book That Has Your Dream Boyfriend/Girlfriend Okay, so technically it started as a TV show, but there's a comic series, so that counts. Kaylee from Firefly is pretty much my dream girl. She's sweet, cute, smart, pretty, fun, and just an all-around great girl. Or Karen, who, again, is technically from the book I'm writing about her. No idea why, but I've always ...
