Q&A Answers

Image
Greetings, friends!  Well, it's official. As of today, I have been blogging for two years.  A few weeks ago, I asked all of you for questions, so I could do a Q&A, so today I'll be answering them.  First of all, thanks so much for all your questions, comments, etc. It means a lot to me.  Now, onto the questions. I'm a little bit excited if you couldn't tell already.  Violette's Questions What movie can you not stand? Please don't kill me, but......High School Musical. Well, actually, I don't hate it or dislike it thaaaat much, but so many people called it the best DCOM ever, and I just didn't get the appeal [and I was in the target demographic, being a tween girl who loved musicals when I first watched it]. It's not bad, it's just....... Did someone introduce you to any of your fandoms? Or did you find most of them on your own? Both. If a blogger or one of my IRL friends recommends something to me, then I will try to watch/read it, but I hav...

I think I'd rather be a mermaid. I've always liked swimming, and being able to explore under the sea without fear of drowning [or, y'know, sharks] would be awesome. Plus, if I didn't like it...

Book Review: Pretty Little Liars

Image
Greetings! So, last month I decided that I was going to re-read and re-watch some of my favorite movies/books/shows from a few years ago [to see how they held up], and I decided to start with Pretty Little Liars.   I read them a few years ago [I think may have technically been my introduction to YA? Before that, I only remember reading middle-grade novels] and I remember really liking them. There's sixteen books in this series, but I only read the first eight. There's also a show based on the books, but I've never watched that either. I initially intended just to review the first book, but this sort of turned into a series review. Oh, and before we start, spoiler warning. I spoil a lot for the eight books I read. Author: Sara Shepard Genres: YA, drama, mystery, thriller Summary: Set in the suburbs of Philadelphia, this book follows the lives of four teenage girls-----Hanna, Emily, Spencer and Aria. The girls used to be friends in middle school, until the disappearance of...

Series Review: Julie and the Phantoms

Hello! Happy Star Wars day to you all.   So, as I said in my April Recap, I recently finished Julie and the Phantoms, and I loved it, so here's my review. I'd actually been meaning to write this review before, but I completely forgot about it.....hehe.  Also, here's a quick shout-out to  MovieCritic  for reviewing this show, otherwise I don't think I would have wanted to watch it. So, let's get started on the review.  Creators: Dan Cross, David Hoge Cast: Madison Reyes, Charlie Gillespie, Owen Joyner, Jeremy Shada, Jadah Marie, Sacha Carlson, Savannah Lee May, Carlos Ponce, Booboo Stewart, Sonny Bustamante, Cheyenne Jackson, Alison Araya Rating: TV-G Summary: Julie is a teenage girl who rediscovers her passion for music, a year after her mother's death, with the help of  Sunset Curve, the band who's been dead for 25 years. In turn, she joins their band, and they discover that the ghosts can be seen when they play music. My Thoughts:  I love ...

April Recap

I feel like time is going by way faster than it's supposed to, and I don't know how to stop it. Help?  I had a pretty good April [I think. I can't remember most of it]. How about you?  Anyway, let's get on with the recap.  Books I Read in April Movies/TV Shows I Watched in April Season One, and part of Season two, but I kind of lost interest in it after awhile. Seasons Four and Five Seasons Two and Three If you've seen the show, who are your favorites? So far I like Fred and Lorne best. The rest of Season One.  I love this show so much! Would y'all like to see a review of it [don't question the y'all thing. I know it's weird, but it's oddly satisfying to write]? And I just re-watched some of my favorite episodes for both shows. I have introduced my family to Buffy, and I think they like it so far. I managed to predict both of my sisters favorites, so that's cool. Events of April -I finished editing my novella! One day this month I just decid...
