10 Fictional Characters I Relate To

Image
Hello! It's been SO LONG since I've posted, and I'm really, really sorry about that. I didn't mean to take a hiatus, but my life has just been busy, and I was struggling to find inspiration for blogging, but I am back and feeling better than ever. I might make an update post, but for right now, I just wanted to do something fun. I saw Annie Elainey do a video like this, and I wanted to do one, too-----except in blog post form. If any of you guys want to do something like this, feel free to-----just link back to my blog. With that being said, here's my list.  #1: Anne Shirley Cuthbert, Anne of Green Gables/Anne With an E Anne was probably more relatable to me as a preteen, but I still think we have a lot in common. She's very smart, and loves learning new things, which is very relatable to me. She's very creative and has a huge imagination [#me], and can often get more caught up in her daydreams than in reality. She's also very, very emotional and sensit...

The Flaming Hot Five Reasons Why Tag

Image
'Ello everyone and happy Valentine's Day! I'm back with another tag. I saw this one on  Katie Hanna's  blog and she said I could do it.  So! Let's get started.  The Rules -List five swoonworthy characters from movies or TV, explain why you find them swoonworthy in no more than five sentences -Leave a link to the original blogs and the blog who tagged you [the tag originated with  Thoughts All Sorts  and  Realweegiemidget Reviews  and I was tagged by  Katie Hanna . Okay, let's get to the tag.  #1: Tara Maclay, Buffy the Vampire Slayer I like Tara because she's just a genuinely kind, wonderful little human being. I like her intelligence and her weird sense of humor. I like that she likes cats, and I like her unique sense of style. I love how loyal and intuitive she is, and I think it's pretty cool that she's a witch. Also, she has an adorable smile.  #2: Robin Buckley, Stranger Things First of all, I like Robin because she's ver...

January Recap

Image
I genuinely cannot believe that it's the end of January! That's crazy. My January was a pretty good month. I got to do a lot of fun things.  What I Read in January What I Watched in January What I Did in January -Writing! I did a lot of writing this month. My WIP is really coming along.  -I went ice skating for the first time with my sisters and some of our friends. I was really nervous at first, but it was really fun and I was actually pretty good at it.  -Martial arts! We did a knife defense this month and that was pretty cool. -Getting back to school. I was excited about returning to some subjects. Others? Not so much.  -Lots of different makeup stuff. Like I said, I got a new palette for Christmas and I've had so much fun experimenting with new looks.  -I feel like that was pretty much all that happened this month. Like I said, it was a good month. How was your month?

Recommending Media Based On Your Favorite Jane Austen Book

Image
Hello everyone! I have a question for you: Are you a Jane Austen fan? If so, I thought I'd give you some recommendations based on your favorite Jane Austen book. You don't have to have read all of her books-----or even any of them------if you like a movie adaptation, that's totally cool, too. Or, even if you're not an Austen fan, you could just take this as a list of recommendations. So, let's get started.  Sense and Sensibility If you're a fan of Sense and Sensibility, I assume that you really like stories with sisters since Elinor and Marianne's relationship is a big part of the book. I also assume that you're very character-driven and relationship driven, and you don't mind stories being a tiny bit preachy. So, for you, I'd recommend...... Now, if you're into classic literature, you've probably already read this one, but, if you haven't, I'd recommend it. It's one of the most famous sister stories, and the relationships be...

The Smashing and Dashing 2022 Character Awards

Image
Hello!  I'm back and with a tag. Technically you're supposed to do this tag near the end of the year, but I was sick at the tail end of 2022, so I decided to do it now. This fun little tag was created by  C.G Drews , and I cannot remember where I found it, but I thought it would be fun to do.  This year's winners are..... #1. Most Relatable Character Vi Garrett from The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls by Jessica Spotswood. She's a bookish, mildly awkward fangirl who writes fanfiction and is perpetually confused by people saying that she's brave for being herself because that's all she really knows how to do. All of the Garrett sisters were relatable for me, to an extent, but Vi was definitely the most relatable.  #2. Most Pure Animal Companion Doomslug from Starsight and Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson. She's not really an animal-----she's more of a strange creature, but she plays the role of a pet in these books.  #3. Fiercest Fighter Daniela from The Wi...
