The Buffy Re-Watch Project Part 1:My Ranking Of Season One

Image
Hi! I hope you're all having a good day, and, if not, may I offer you virtual hugs and cake? Recently, I was re-watching season one of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I thought it would be fun to do a ranking.  I've talked about Buffy before, but, basically, what you need to know about the show is that it's about a teenage girl named Buffy who's destiny is to slay vampires, demons and the forces of darkness.  So, let's get into the ranking.  Oh, and huge spoiler warning. If you don't want to read spoilers, maybe skip this post. #12: Teacher's Pet Summary [taken from IMDB}: Buffy's biology teacher is killed by a giant praying mantis that assumes the form of a beautiful substitute teacher.  My Thoughts: *sighs* Teacher's Pet isn't a horrible episode, but it falls squarely in the ''meh'' category for me. I just don't find the plot terribly compelling. Ms. French isn't a particularly interesting villain, in my opinion, and it f

My Favorite Ships

Hi everyone! Happy Belated Valentine's Day! Did you celebrate it in any way?  I ate lots of candy, wore pink and red clothes and re-watched the first To All the Boys I've Loved Before movie.  So, for my Valentine's Day post, I decided to post about the ships that I like. I didn't use to ship characters until 2020, but now I ship a lot of couples. Some of the ones on this list are canon and some are non-canon.  TV Julie and the Phantoms Julie and Luke Ahhh, Julie and Luke! I'm so sad that we won't get another season, so we won't get to see more of them. I liked seeing how their relationship developed over the course of the season from Julie being annoyed with Luke to her developing a crush on him. They're just super sweet together.  Alex and Willie This is another couple that doesn't really get a full-blown relationship in Season One, but they're so cute together. I love the contrast between them-----Alex is a little more reserved and anxious, an

Room Tour 2022

Hi everyone! I really love room tours, and my sisters and I just finished cleaning/organizing our room, so I decided that now would be a good time to do it.  This is a collab with my awesome sister,  Hailey . Check out her post  here , So, here is what my part of the room looks like circa February 2022.  This is an overview of my bed.  Since I share a room, I can close off my bed with this curtain if I want some privacy or am up early/up late and don't want the light to wake up my sisters. Ten-year-old me chose purple fabric with cats, and I still think it looks cool. Here are all of my stuffed animals, and a painting of a butterfly that I did.  This is one of my favorite things I own. It's this little board that I made back in 2020 with all my favorite things at the time. It took hours, and is probably the biggest art project I've done in a long time. Here I have my lamp, my glasses case, my Bible, whatever book I'm currently reading and my Nintendo Switch Lite.  And

Charmed 1998 vs Charmed 2018

Image
Hi everyone! I really enjoyed my To All The Boys I've Loved Before comparison, so I thought I'd do another one. I watched the first season of each show, so I'll be giving my overall thoughts on the first season of each show, and then do a little character comparison.  Charmed [1998] Summary: After their grandmother's death, sisters Prue [Shannen Doherty], Piper [Holly Marie Combs] and Phoebe [Alyssa Milano] inherit magical powers and learn of their duty to protect the innocent.  My Thoughts: Charmed is one of those shows that's just a lot of fun, and they come up with a lot of interesting and entertaining magic-related plots [like the episode where Prue casts a truth spell, the one where Phoebe uses her powers to get a job as a psychic, the one where the sisters travel back in time and the one where Prue clones herself].  All of the Halliwell sisters are interesting and entertaining in their own ways, and their actresses all have really great chemistry. They also ha
