Wrestling Wednesday: My Favorite WWE/WWF Stars

Image
Hello. Long time since I posted, huh? So, today's post is about wrestling.....which is about 50% sport, 50% performance [I mean, it is rigged....], and pretty much everyone has a wild persona. Anyway, today's post is about my favorite wrestlers. Male 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage The Macho Man is just really fun to watch. I guess that's why I like him. Also, has anyone here seen those commercials he did? They were hilarious. Also, my dad does a really great imitation of his voice. I guess the main reason I like him is 'cause he put on a good show, which is always important in wrestling. Hulk Hogan Definitely one of the most iconic wrestlers. His matches are definitely fun to watch. And, of course, 'that's right, brother!' is said a lot in our house. Like, a lot, a lot. Anyway, despite the crazy spray tan, his matches are always awesome, and his persona is hilarious. Rowdy Roddy Piper is another one I like, simply becaus

Serenity [2005] Review

Image
The crew of  the ship Serenity try to evade an assassin sent to recapture one of their members, who is telepathic. -Summary from IMDB Serenity was directed by Joss Whedon, and stars Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau, Ron Glass, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. My Thoughts Firefly was cancelled after just one season [yup, I'm still not quite over it.], and while that sucks, at least Serenity was made. It has the same crew that I love, so that's a plus. Also, the action scenes are awesome [something Joss Whedon seems to excel at]. Plus, it's sci-fi, which is always great. River got to fight a lot in the movie. And those scenes were very well-done. River is such an interesting character, partly because you never know what to expect from her. She also had a few funny moments, such as her 'I swallowed a bug' line [which is funny if you see it on TV]. Actually, everybody gets to fight in this movie

Firefly Review

Image
Hi, So I never did do a proper review on Firefly, did I? I guess today's the day for it. Five hundred years in the future , a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft tries to survive as they travel the unknown parts of the galaxy and evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them. -Summary from IMDB Firefly was created by Joss Whedon and stars Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau, and Ron Glass. My Thoughts Firefly is one of those shows that makes a big impression in a small amount of time. I'm still wondering how it only got one season, while numerous reality shows and sitcoms get 10+ seasons....... Anyway, Firefly is a smart show. It assumes that the viewers are intelligent enough to understand it. The characters really make the show great, but the plotlines and action sequences are great, too. Every episode is great, but there are a few that really stand out. It's neat

Shows To Watch During Quarentine

Image
Hello! I hope you're having a good Monday. Anyway, with coronavirus going around, people are stuck at home, so I thought I'd give recommendations to people. One show [or two if I couldn't decide] per genre. No romance, since I don't really watch romance. Like I said, coronavirus hasn't changed my life very much. Besides, I live in a small town so there haven't been many cases. I'll be praying for you all, though. Anyway, let's just get on with the post, shall we? Comedy In my opinion, Parks and Rec. is better than The Office. It's a goofy, quirky comedy centered around Leslie Knope, a cheerful, optimistic politician, who genuinely loves her job. The supporting characters include grumpy intern April Ludgate, very serious Ron, wacky Tom, lazy Andy, and Ann, the ''normal'' one. Pretty much everybody in my family loves this show, and that's saying something since we all have different tastes. Bonus: Chris Pratt is in it. Fanta

Happy Birthday, Tricia Helfer

Image
Hello. So, today, April 11th, is Tricia Helfer’s birthday, so I thought I’d make a post on some of her greatest roles. A Little Bit of Backstory Tricia Janine Helfer was born on April 11th, 1974. She’s an actress, former supermodel, and producer. I actually first saw her in an episode of Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated , where she played Aphrodite [well, technically, Amanda Smythe]. I next saw her as Karen Willis in an episode of The Librarians. Seriously, nobody can play an evil CEO in a Greek mythology-themed episode better than her. I’ve also seen her on Lucifer, Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13, Chuck, and Burn Notice. I don’t even plan for this to happen, she just shows up on a lot of shows I like. Most sci-fi fans would recognize her as Number Six from Battlestar Galactica , and, honestly, she did a really great job with that role. The thing about Cylons is [for those of you who have not seen this amazing show. If so, why are you still here? Go watch it.

March Recap

Image
Hi. Well, March was a bit crazy with the coronavirus and all.  It doesn’t affect me very much, except there are no extracurriculars, but I don’t really go anywhere, and I’m homeschooled so…… Alright, let’s recap some of what happened. Books Read in March Movies/TV Shows Watched in March Seasons 2-4. Yes, I watched a lot of this show, and, no, I don’t regret it. Season One, I think Season Three Guys, I just saw Tricia Helfer give possibly her best [or one of her best] performance in ‘’Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards.’’ Probably Season Two but I’m not sure. Events of March Honestly, March has been a pretty chill month. Not a lot has happened. I read a lot, watched TV, went outside, practiced acting and sports, played Schleich, did some writing etc. I mean, I didn’t go anywhere but…. -We had takeout a few times, which is great -Skateboarding -I’m doing a play with my sisters. It’s really fun -I Skyped with some friends who liv
