August Recap, An Announcement And How I Did On My Summer Goals

Image
Hello everyone! I hope that you've all had a good month. I'll get into the recap in just a minute, but first I wanted to say that I'm going to be taking a bit of a break from blogging in September. I probably won't be gone for the whole month, but I won't be posting as frequently. Between responsibilities [like school, sports and chores] and working on my novel, plus wanting to script and edit some videos and dealing with blogging burnout, I just want to take a short break. Hopefully you'll all understand.  So, here's the recap.  Books I Read in August Movies/TV Shows I Watched In August Season One and part of Season Two Again, Season One and part of Season Two What I Did In August Watch me just forget everything I did, lol. -Some of my friends came over to visit this month! It was really fun to get to see them and hang out with them again. We even got to go horseback riding this time.  -I can't remember if I wrote this in my last recap but I have a new

Once Upon A Time

Image
Hello! So, a few years ago [2019, I think?] I watched this show called Once Upon A Time. I stopped watching it back around Season Four/Season Five-ish because I got bored with the endless amount of curses and the fact that I wasn't a fan of the way the writing was going [no offense meant if you liked the later seasons. We all have different tastes]. This month, I decided to re-watch it the first season, and I have Thoughts.  If you don't know what the show is about it's about a woman named Emma, whose child that she gave up for adoption when she was eighteen comes to visit her on her 28th birthday, and tells her that she's the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming and they-----along with other fairytale characters----are trapped in a small town with no memories of their past life, and that it's up to her to save the day.  The first thing I noticed during my re-watch was how much it reminded me of Lost, mostly because both of those shows have a flashback elemen

5 Characters Who Make Me Extremely Angry

Image
Hello! If you know me then you know that I'm a very passionate person with lots of strong feelings, which obviously extends to fiction. There are a lot of characters who I love, and lots who I HATE. So, here are five characters I hate the most.  #1: Ezra Fitz, Pretty Little Liars Ezra is the literal worst. First of all, he's in his mid-twenties and constantly dates high-schoolers, which is so weird and creepy. He's also super controlling in his relationship with Aria and seems kind of abusive. The other thing that really makes me angry is that he could have been SUCH a good villain [having someone's partner being A would've been a cool twist], but, no, he's presented as the hero. He's the worst and should be in jail.  #2: Mr. Rochester, Jane Eyre *long sigh* It's been a few months since I've read Jane Eyre, so I may be misremembering some things, but, from what I remember, he is a horrible man who completely mistreats everyone around him, but ESPECI

5 Favorite Female Characters Tag

Image
Hello! So, today, I'll be doing another tag post. I saw this one on Katie's blog, and I thought I'd do it. Because I love characters. Obviously, there are other reasons I like stories, but characters is a big one. Especially women. That's not to say that there aren't male characters that I love [Steve Harrington, Rupert Giles, etc.], but I tend to connect more to fictional women, which I used to think was a bad thing, but it's just the way I am. *shrugs* It's just me, I guess. I did a similar post about a year ago, and it's hard to narrow it down to five, but here are five female characters who mean a lot to me personally, and who I adore.  So, let's get into it. #1: Daisy Johnson, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D I don't understand why Agents of Shield isn't as famous as the rest of the MCU, when it's super good. I adore all of the characters------May, Coulson, Fitz, Simmons, Hunter, Bobbi, Yo-Yo, etc, but Daisy has always been my favorite. She

July Recap

Image
Well, now it's August. July was both a short month and a long month. July has been a mixed month. I've had some struggles, but I've also had a lot of fun and good experiences, so.....it's been a mixed bag.  What I Read in July I've been in a bit of a reading slump for the past few months, and this month I've read a lot more, and most of them were good. What I Watched in July What I Did in July -I'm working on a new writing project. It's not very long yet, but I'm enjoying working on it.  -Like I mentioned, I did a lot of reading this month. Maybe I should do some reviews? Idk, what do you guys think about that?  -I went swimming this month. I haven't been in a long time, so it was fun. -Again, martial arts.  -I dyed my hair. It's been so fun having colorful hair again. -I did lots of work this month. It was fine, but nothing to write home about.  -I made a few videos, but I haven't finished editing them.  -I went bowling this month, whic
