Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season One [Review]

Image
Hello. So this month I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've been wanting to watch it for a long time, but I didn't have the chance to. But then my family got Hulu, and, since it was free, I decided to start watching it. Also, Happy Halloween if you celebrate it. Since the whole show is very fitting for Halloween (especially Season Two, Episode Six, but we're just talking about the first season today) I decided to review it today. You'll get to see my costume during MC's blog party. Which means I'll probably be halfway through Season Three by the time I post this, but whatever. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was created by Joss Whedon, and stars Sarah Michelle Geller, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter, and Anthony Stewart Head.  Summary: In every generation there is a chosen one known as the Slayer. The Slayer must fight and kill vampires, witches, werewolves, and all other kinds of supernatural creatures. This time it ju

Movie Review: Heathers (1989)

Image
Greetings and salutations, blog readers! I thiiiink you guys already know this, but my birthday's in October, and usually when it's someone's birthday that person gets to pick a movie to watch, and I picked Heathers. Because what's more fun than watching a movie about a bunch of high schoolers murdering each other, right? Kiddiiiiiiiing. I did have a lot of thoughts about this movie, so let's get into it.  Heathers was directed by Michael Lehmann, written by Daniel Waters, and stars Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, Shannen Doherty, Kim Walker, Lisanne Falk, and Penelope Milford.  Summary: When Veronica Sawyer first meets Jason Dean, he seems like a cool guy and a welcome break from the snobby clique (the Heathers) she hangs out with, and she finally seems to have something good going for her. That is until she accidentally kills the leader of the Heathers, Heather Chandler. J.D. helps her make it look like suicide, but as time goes on, Veronica starts to suspect tha

The 30 Song Tag [Take Two]

Hi. So I did this tag back in February, and I decided to do it again. Only this time there's a twist. Instead of just listing 30 songs I tried to pick 30 songs all from musicals. Not like that was really hard. I'm beyond obsessed with my favorite musicals.  In fact, I can't remember when I last listened to any of my other playlists.  And, if I didn't have an answer to the question, I just picked a random song I like, so you have precisely thirty songs to listen to.  Two things first, though. One, if you have any questions for my Q&A, be sure to comment them below. I love seeing what questions you guys have. Two, you can now follow my blog by email. You don't have to, of course. I just personally prefer to follow blogs by email. Annnnnnnnd, here is a playlist with all of these songs, so you can listen to it while reading this post, and tell me your opinions on them.  Here Just a quick warning that there is some language in a good portion of these songs. It doesn

Musical Characters I Would Love to Play

Image
Hellooooo. *zooms in on spinny office chair* So, it's not exactly a little-known fact that I love musicals, and I have lots of favorite musical characters. I tried out acting for awhile and, while it's fantastic, it's not my thing. However, I would consider coming out of retirement if someone offered to let me play these characters. I'll also explain why I love all of these lovely ladies so much. And it really is all girls. Is it just me who gets way more attached to female characters? I love male characters, too [like the ones in my books], but it's just different. *shrugs*. Let's just get into the post before I start rambling. #1: Janis Sarkisian, Mean Girls JANIS. MY QUEEN. Okay, but, first of all, her songs are actually in my vocal range, so I wouldn't have to strain my voice. And all of the songs from Mean Girls are so amazing, and I'd love to sing them.  Second of all, Janis is so snarky, and her lines are the best. Third of all, I've identifi

10 Reasons Why You Should Watch Warehouse 13

Image
Helllllooooooo.  If you've read any of my blog posts you may know that I have a deep obsession with media, and fiction, and fictional characters [who am I kidding? You know this about me within the first 0.5 seconds of meeting me]. One of the many TV shows I'm obsessed with is Warehouse 13. This show is kind of lesser-known in the blogging community, so I have decided to make it my mission to convince you all to watch Warehouse 13. I came up with a solid 10 reasons why it is one of the most awesome shows ever [with a nice dose of GIFs to keep you entertained]. Warehouse 13 is like The X-Files meets The Librarians meets Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, with a good side dose of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's about two secret service agents who get recruited to find and neutralize dangerous magic artifacts, and bring them back to the Warehouse [there have been twelve before it, hence the name Warehouse 13]. There's a whole cast of great characters Let's go ahead and start. #1:

Movie Review: Enola Holmes

Image
Hello, and happy Sunday. Yesterday, I watched Enola Holmes with my family, and, since lots of you are Sherlock Holmes fans, I decided to review it. Before we start, don't forget to comment questions for my Q&A. If you want to, of course.  Enola Holmes was directed by Harry Bradbeer, written by Jack Thorne, and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, Helena Bonham Carter, Burn Gorman, and Adeel Akhtar.  Summary: When Enola Holmes---Sherlock's teen sister---discovers that her beloved mother is missing, she sets off to find her, all while avoiding going to finishing school, and unraveling a dangerous conspiracy around a mysterious young Lord. My Thoughts: So, I thought this was a pretty good movie. It's not perfect, nor is it my favorite movie ever, but it's good. If you're a Sherlock fan, then this would be perfect. What I Liked:  -Enola herself. I haven't seen Millie Bobby Brown in anything else, but she did a very good job, and

Q&A

Image
Hello everybody.  Well, the title says it all. I'm doing a Q&A for blogging for a year-and-a-half [so, technically, I should have done this yesterday, since I started blogging on May 12th.....whoops]. I'll answer these questions a month from now, on November 13th. I wanted to do one this May, but then I got busy [don't ask me how I managed to get busy in the middle of a pandemic, because I don't even know myself].  Feel free to ask as many questions as you want. And think outside the box. Ask me about my hobbies, ask me about my writing, ask me about fictional characters [please, please, please, ask me about fictional characters]. Just don't ask me where I live or anything inappropriate, and we should be good. If you think of more, comment them below. And feel free to go through previous posts, and see if anything catches your eye, and ask me about that.  And please spread the word on your blog. I'd like to answer everybody's questions.  Okay, that'

Movie Review: Beetlejuice

Image
Hello. Last night, I watched Beetlejuice for the first time, and decided to make a blog post about it, so you can hear my thoughts about it [the good and the bad]. Let's get started, shall we? Beetlejuice was directed by Tim Burton, and stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, and Jeffrey Jones.  Summary: Adam and Barbara Maitland thought their lives couldn't possibly be worse. They're dead, and stuck inside their house, and no one can see them. Then, one day, a family with two incredibly annoying parents, and their strange daughter move in, and Adam and Barbara turn to Beetlejuice, an insane and malicious creature to help drive them out. My Thoughts: If you want to watch this movie, now would be the perfect time to do it, since it's October, and, while Beetlejuice isn't exactly a Halloween move, it has a gothic vibe, kind of like The Addams Family [another great movie that you should definitely watch]. What I Liked:  -The
