Top Ten Chuck Episodes

Hellllloooooo, again people of the Internet. So today it’s rainy, and I did a bunch of outdoor work [and not the fun kind that involves the power sander or lifting heavy things. The boring kind that involves picking up sticks]. Anyway, what is something that sounded fun after that? Watching TV! My sister picked an episode of Chuck and I’m reminded of how awesome that show is. Soooooo, without further ado, I present…….The Top Ten Chuck Episodes.
Note: This is just my personal opinion. Also, I do not own any of these images. There may be a few slight spoilers for Chuck but nothing major.

#10: Season 3, Episode 4: Chuck Versus Operation Awesome
In this episode Chuck’s sister’s husband, Devon Woodcomb aka Captain Awesome, is mistaken as a super spy by Sydney Price [Angie Harmon],  who works for the Ring [main antagonists of Season Three in case you’re not familiar with Chuck] and Chuck has to train Awesome to pretend to be a super spy, willing to take out Special Agent Shaw [Brandon Routh]. While not a super popular episode, I enjoyed it. It had some memorable super-snarky John Casey quotes, and the plot was funny and smart like most Chuck episodes. Guest stars include Angie Harmon

#9: Season Four, Episode 14: Chuck Versus The Seduction Impossible
The second episode with Roan Montgomery [John Larroquette] actually involves Sarah, Chuck and Casey rescuing him after he’s kind of kidnapped [it’s complicated] by Fatima Tazi [Lesley-Ann Brandt] and her gang of female crooks. Everyone’s basically furious with Roan, Chuck and Sarah also end up getting kidnapped while arguing about their upcoming wedding, Casey’s trapped in a brick wall, and Morgan’s about to meet Alex McHugh’s mother. In other words, just the normal life in Chuck aaaaannnndddd another great episode.
[Hey, look, it’s Lesley-Ann Brandt back before she was famous. She does an awesome Middle Eastern [I think] accent in this episode].

#8: Season 4, Episode 19: Chuck Versus The Muuuuurder
Chuck must pick a person to become the new Intersect. He has four choices, he’s picked his guy…...until his top choice is murdered. Now, it’s up to Chuck, Sarah and Casey to figure out who’s the guilty one.

#7: Season Two, Episode Two: Chuck Versus The Seduction
The first episode with Roan Montgomery, where Chuck must learn the art of seduction from the master himself aka Roan Montgomery, Oh, and Chuck must seduce a spy known as the Black Widow [because she kills all her mates, not because she’s played by Scarlett Johansson].

#7: Season 2, Episode 4: Chuck Versus The Cougars
We get a blast from Sarah’s past [which she understandably refuses to tell Chuck] since the mission takes place at Sarah’s high school reunion. Even worse [for her at least] she meets her high school nemesis, Heather Chandler [Nicole Richie]. There’s a female fist-fight and some hilarious confusion when Heather’s geeky husband [Ben Savage] thinks Chuck is the super fighter, even though Casey actually does the fighting.

#6: Season 1, Episode 3: Chuck Versus The Tango
It’s only Chuck’s third mission so he’s really, really inexperienced [meaning he runs and hides, until Sarah and Casey save him]. So, the plot is basically silliness with a ton of action scenes. I don’t mind this. It’s actually highly entertaining. Especially when Awesome teaches Chuck the woman’s part in the tango.

#5: Season 2, Episode 11: Chuck Versus Santa Claus
It’s almost Christmas at the Buy More, which means more sales……..until some random guy breaks in and holds everybody hostage like in Die Hard. Except Hans Gruber had way more class. As far as holiday episodes go, this is one of my favorites. They actually had a couple Die Hard references, which was great.

#4: Season 1, Episode 1: Chuck Versus The Intersect
The episode that started it all. Some pilots tend to be incredibly strong, while others are incredibly weak. All in all, it was a really good start, and it really needed to be. After all, most people wouldn’t continue watching a show if the pilot was horrible.

#3: Season 2, Episode 18: Chuck Versus The Broken Heart
When Chuck’s relationship with Sarah starts getting too personal for Beckman’s liking, she brings in Agent Alexandra Forrest [Tricia Helfer] to assess their relationship. Oh, and Morgan, Jeff and Lester have decided they want to attend Awesome’s bachelor party, despite not being invited. Between the shenanigans of the Buy More, the growing relationship between Chuck and Sarah, the interesting plot, and ongoing mystery of Chuck’s father this was a really great episode in Chuck. I’m dead serious when I say they should’ve brought Agent Forrest back in future episodes. Like I’ve mentioned in previous posts I’m convinced she had a tragic romantic relationship in the past, and she had good chemistry with Casey.

#2: Chuck Versus The DeLorean
We get to meet Sarah’s conman father, Jack Burton [Gary Cole] who pulls Sarah, Chuck [who he nicknames Schnook], and Casey [who he nicknamed Cop Face]  into his latest con. Oh, and Morgan blows the money Awesome lent him on a slow, barely-functioning DeLorean, which he calls the DeMorgan. It’s a great, funny, and complex episode, and one of my favorites.

#1: Season 4, Episode 15: Chuck Versus The Cat Squad
In this Charlie’s Angels-like episode we meet Sarah’s old team, The C.A.T squad which consists of Carina [Mini Anden], Zondra [Mercedes Mason], and Amy [Mircea Monroe], and now it’s up to the Cats and Chuck to stop Gaez [Lou Diamond Phillips]. However, it turns out one of the C.A.T squad members is a traitor. Which one? I loved the mystery, action, comedy and drama that came together to create this episode. Plus, it was nice seeing Carina again: she’s one of my favorite guest characters.

So, that’s all. My Top Ten Favorite Chuck episodes. What are some of your favorite episodes? Who’s your favorite recurring  guest character [mine’s Carina]? Who did you think should come back but didn’t [for me it’s Agent Forrest]?

  1. Oooh...yes! I love Chuck! :D
Chuck versus the Tango, was so awesome. Especially the line *spoilers for those who have not seen the episode* "I only know how to dance the women's part the tango" partly because Awesome did not exactly teach Chuck the mens' part and only danced him around the room. XD *End spoilers*

Also I LOVE the C.A.T. Squad episode, it really made you get to know Sarah even more and what friendships (spy friendships) she had before she worked with Chuck and Casey.

I also love the episode where Chuck and Sarah get married, it was so sweet. :)
But I do wish they hadn't done the thing to Sarah later...that they did. But perhaps that means there might be possibility for a Chuck movie then (since there was a Pysch movie.)

  2. I agree. It was cool to see what Sarah's spy life was like before she was assigned to Team Bartowski. That was a great episode. Can't remember what it was called.
Agreed, it didn't really make the best ending but maybe they will make a movie. That'd be awesome.

    1. Agreed. Also it would be cool for there to be a prequel series focusing on Sarah's life, though it be serious, it would be awesome to watch. :D
