If I Was A Fictional Character [Tag]

 Hello there!
Random Buffy GIF just because.
Sam did this tag on her blog, and I asked her if I could do it, and she said yes.
This looks like it will be a lot of fun. *rubs hands together gleefully*
Share a snippet that includes a description of their appearance:
She's flopped out on her bed, furiously typing up a blog post on her laptop. She's tall, and athletic looking with very long legs. She's dressed casually in ripped jeans [she didn't buy them ripped. They just happened to rip while she was wearing them, and they're her most comfortable pair, so she keeps wearing them], a mint green hoodie, and socks with llamas on them. Her hair is medium-length, wavy and light brown with blonde streaks/highlights.
Basically my hair is like hers, only longer.
Her favorite feature is her eyes. They're dark brown, and usually hidden behind glasses.
She has a small and wide nose, thin eyebrows, and a huge grin.
She's not sure if she's pretty or not, but she likes the way she looks, and, more importantly, she feels like her looks suit her. If she changed them, she wouldn't look like herself.
Ok, so this is a really old picture of me, and the lighting is strange and makes my hair look blonder than it is, but it's what I have.
5 Ways to Win Her Friendship
1: Talk to her about fandoms----books, movies, TV shows, comics, music, musicals. If you share any of her fandoms, she'll be more than happy to talk about them with you.
2: Do something nice for a person/animal. She admires those with pure hearts.
3: Ask her about her writing. She might be a little reserved about it at first, but she's glad you asked.
4: Laugh at one of her jokes, or sarcastically reply to one of her sarcastic remarks. She likes people who share her sense of humor.
5: Be interesting. She's fascinated by people who are different or exciting or unique, so that will probably pique her interest enough that she'll want to talk to you.
Favorite Type of Weather
She likes days that are either cool or warm---she doesn't like being hot or cold. Somewhere between 50 and 75 degrees. She likes sunny days, but she also likes cloudy, foggy days---it all depends on her mind.
Food Quirks
She mashes things together often until the result looks nothing like food.
She also likes cold food----not just pizza. If something's been left in the refrigerator, she'll eat it without heating it up.
Every time she has cocoa with marshmallows, she eats the marshmallows first.
She also likes foods that are very sour or very salty or have an otherwise strong flavor---she can't stand tasteless foods.
She likes vegetables, but not on pizza.
How often do they smile? Would they smile at a stranger?
She smiles pretty frequently on some days, and rarely on others, despite the fact that she is generally a happy person. It all depends on her mood. Sometimes she smiles at strangers, just to be polite, but it's not the same as her real smile.
If they could travel anywhere in the world, where would they go?
She's always wanted to go to Japan, but she'd love to go to England or Scotland, too. Or Italy.
Really, she just wants to go somewhere.
What's their favorite food?
Pizza. Either plain cheese, or meat pizza [she doesn't care what kind: sausage, pepperoni, ham, hamburger, chicken, etc]. She thinks vegetables on pizza are an abomination [no offence, if you like vegetables on pizza].
What is the most humiliating event of their life?
She doesn't have a single most humiliating moment in her life---and she doesn't think she's ever really been humiliated, just embarrassed. Any time she says things without thinking, or starts rambling and ends up giving up more information than she planned, probably.
What habits, speech patterns, etc. are unique to them?
''I mean'' *continues what she was saying*
''Of course this isn't the same for everyone'' or ''There are exceptions, of course'' or ''That's just my opinion.''
''Yayyyyy.'' *sarcastic jazz hands*
In terms of habits, she tends to get restless when she's excited, and will often have to get up and pace.
She runs or skips as opposed to walking, most of the time.
She also flaps her hands or squeezes them into fists when she's angry.
Also, when she gets excited she makes an odd little squeaking sound.
Are they a night owl or a morning person?
A moderate morning person. She usually gets up around six, and doesn't like to stay up past 10:30, but she can, if necessary.
Describe your character's personality first in one word, then elaborate with a few sentences
The word she thinks best suits her is ''contradictory.'' Almost everything about her seems to contradict something else.
She's very nerdy----she's always been good at school, and she likes research and figuring things out, and she's a huge, huge, huge fangirl [of books, movies, TV shows, musicals, basically anything], but she's also very athletic and likes playing sports and martial arts and all that.
She's very energetic, can be impulsive, and has a truly incredible temper, and tends to be giving either 100% or 0% of her energy to doing something, but she can also be reserved and sometimes a little bit shy, depending on who she's around.
She's goofy and she's sarcastic and she likes to make fun of things [lightheartedly, of course. She doesn't make fun of people].
She's very, very sensitive, and feels things very deeply.
She has a huge imagination, and is always making up stories.
She loves adventure, and is kind of a mild adrenaline junkie. Sometimes she has to push herself into doing things, but it's always worth it.
She's a little bit weird, but it doesn't bother her. She'd rather be herself, and be a little bit insane or contradictory than try to fit in.
There's more, but those are the basics.
What sights, sounds, and smells are unique to this character?
Well, her favorite smells are fire and rain. She also likes unhealthy smells like paint and Sharpies. Oh, and she really likes the smell of shampoo----or to be more accurate, she likes the smell of sweet-smelling shampoo in other peoples' hair.
If they were an element [fire, water, earth, air], which one would they be?
Either fire or air. Her strong feelings, quick temper, and passionate, intense personality would point to fire, but the fact that she's an independent free-spirit would suggest air.
Quirks
She seems to think that her life is a book/movie/TV show, and she sometimes does things because 'it would make a good scene' in a movie. She seems to believe that in everyone's life they're the main character, and wonders how interesting she would be as a main character
She names everything: her journal, her phone, her Kindle, her laptop, random trees on her family's ranch, etc.
She likes to clean things with suds. So, she likes washing dishes, and cleaning the car, but she loathes vacuuming.
She 'casts' every single character in all of her books. Sometimes she uses actors, sometimes other celebrities, sometimes people she knows IRL, but she cannot write without having a clear vision of what said character looks like/sounds like.
Sometimes she randomly speaks in a British accent.
If she likes a blog post, she'll read it multiple times, like with books/movies/shows she likes.
In fact, sometimes she'll reread her own blog posts....just to see the GIFs she used.
This isn't exactly a quirk, but she almost always has music on----while she's writing, while she's practicing archery, while she's skating, in the car, sometimes even when she's reading.
Well. That was both fun and interesting.
I'm not going to be tagging anyone for this, so go ahead and steal it if you want to. I'd love to see your answers.
Bye For Now,

  1. I loved this! I definitely find myself doing things because it would make a good scene in a movie. It's a bit of a problem when I get mildly annoyed when no one is following along with the script that's in my head. Not all the time, but the odd times that it happens is always interesting.
If you talk to me about something that I'm really interested in it's really hard for me to shut up about it too XD

Same with loving unhealthy smells. I really like the smell of gasoline and a specific kind of car grease that you usually smell around cars being worked on.

  2. Thanks! You can do it if you want to. Oh, good, so I'm not alone in that. I've done that, too. XD.
Same. I think most of my family is tired of hearing about my obsessions.
*sighs* Whyyyy do unhealthy things smell so good? I mean, they're not supposed to (or maybe they are? I'm not sure), but they do.

  3. This tag is so neat! I love how you described yourself.
Doing things because they would look cool in a movie is just the better way to live. That and being a fangirl. I love the shampoo smell.
    How is the writing going?

  4. It is! Thank you.
I think so, too. Being a fangirl really is great.
Well, it's mostly editing right now, so I'm getting a little tired of that now (especially because I have a new idea and I'm excited about that), but I think I'm fixing a fair amount of plot holes and out-of-character moments, so that's good. Maybe I'll share some snippets at some point.

  5. So fun seeing your answers to this!
"she feels like her looks suit her" <<YES! This is how I feel about myself, too.
Between 50 and 75 degrees is 100% the best temperature range.
I like cold leftovers out of the fridge, too! My mom thinks it's suuuuper weird. XD
Fire and rain are such good smells!
Oh, it's so cool that you reread blog posts! I reread occasionally, but I wish I did it more.

  6. Aw, thanks.
That's great! I mean, we can't really change our appearance, so it's best to just be happy about it" right?
    Absolutely.
My family all think it's super weird. They're like, "Don't you want to heat that up?" And then I'll usually say, "No, I like it cold."
    They are.
Well, sometimes I get a bit too busy for it, too, but it's fun.

  7. It was so fun reading your answers to the tag. :) I thought you'd make an awesome main character in a story.

  9. I would say complex instead of contradictory! But you have pretty much nailed yourself!

  10. Oh, good choice.
Thanks. I'm glad it was accurate to me.

  11. "tends to be giving either 100% or 0% of her energy to doing something" <--- I feel called out because this is totally me, too!

It would be awesome to go to Japan.

Hey, someone else who likes doing the dishes! *high five* I love to listen to audio books while I do them. This was a great way to get to know you more!

  12. Haha. It's cool that we're similar in that way.
    It would be!
*high five* Yeah, it actually can be kind of fun. Ooh, that's a great idea. I'll have to try that sometime.

  15. Yup! That's so cool. I don't think I've met anyone with those favorites either (though, to be fair, I don't ask everyone I meet).
