October Recap
Happy November, everybody! Most months feel like they go really fast, but October actually felt kind of slow. Not that I minded, because it was a nice break. Thanksgiving is coming up soon, so I'm excited for that. Although, all of my other playlists were playing songs I didn't like this morning, which means I listened to my Christmas playlist. I'm not kidding. Geez, even Spotify's trying to rush Thanksgiving season. Anyway, let's get on with the recap.
Books Read in October
I was kind of busy, so I didn't read as much as I would have liked to [plus, some days I just didn't feel like reading], but that's okay. I really enjoyed all of these. Three of them I'd never read before, and then I started my Harry Potter reread, and now I'm about a quarter through The Prisoner of Azkaban. I forgot how good these books are.
Movies/TV Shows Watched in October
So, I sort of rewatched this show, but not in any particular order, so I just skipped around through various seasons and watched my favorite episodes.
Season One and Two
This month was so good for watching movies/shows, too. I rewatched some amazing movies and shows, and discovered a couple of new favorites. My sister's been trying to get me into Riverdale for months. I was hooked from the first episode.
Music of October
I pretty much listened to showtunes the entire month. My favorite songs changed a lot, so I'll just give you the musicals I listened to.
Events of October
-Well, Halloween, of course. You guys will get to see my costume in just a few weeks. I'll give you a hint: I'm a character from one of the movies or shows I watched this month. I actually celebrated Halloween, which is nice. My aunt and grandpa live next door to us, and we had some friends staying with us, so we had our own Halloween party. We had snack food for dinner, had lots of candy, watched Hocus Pocus, and danced to Halloween songs. Or, to be more specific, Amber, Marie, and I danced to Halloween songs, and sung along to the ones we knew. It was very fun.
-Lots of great movies/books/shows/music. I know I mentioned this already, but I thought it needed to be mentioned again.
-My birthday
My birthday's in October, and it was a very fun, calm day. I feel so old now.
-The great room redecorating of October 2020. I decided that I actually want my room to look like an actual, semi-aesthetic room instead of a cave, which is what it normally looks like. Hopefully I can get it finished today. I really like how it looks so far.
-Singing stuff. Same as last month.
-Archery
Okay, so this one hasn't really happened, but I got an archery set for my birthday, and we just got everything set up, so I can actually use it. I'm so excited.
How was your October? Did you do anything especially fun or interesting? How was your Halloween?
Can't wait to see your costume. Looks like you had a full month, hope you had a good birthday!
ReplyDeleteOh Riverdale, I have such a love/hate relationship with it.
I actually bought Jughead's S shirt so I guess I'm somewhat trash for it, but I stopped watching in season 2, might pick it up again at some point.
I know. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks. It was a good one.
I like it so far, but I've heard that it gets really weird, so I'm not sure what I'll think once I reach the later seasons.
Thanks so much for your comment.
I'm so, so, so excited to see your costume! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHappy late birthday! Ah, I love archery, so I hope that you have fun when you start doing it. Have an awesome November, McKayla!
Thanks. I'm super excited, toooo.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yeah, I remember you mentioning it a few times. It seemed like a lot of fun.
Thanks! You too.
Ooh, I'm looking forward to seeing your costume! I'm glad you got to celebrate Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! And be sure to let us know how the archery is going. :)
Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen! I love both musicals! I haven't actually heard many of the other albums you listed...so maybe I'll have to look into them (especially Newsies, since my sister loves that one).
Have a good November!
I knowwwww. I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will. Maybe I'll make a post on it.
YESS. THEY'RE BOTH SO GOOD.
Ooh, yes, they're all good musicals. Let me know what you think of them.
