Quinley's Questions
Would you rather be a mermaid/merman/merperson for a week or a fairy for a year?
I think I'd rather be a mermaid. I've always liked swimming, and being able to explore under the sea without fear of drowning [or, y'know, sharks] would be awesome. Plus, if I didn't like it, I'd only be a mermaid for a week.
Also, comment down below if you were obsessed with H2O as a child. I feel like that started my mermaid obsession.
If you could meet any fictional character, whom would you choose to meet and why?
WELL, THAT'S NOT A HARD QUESTION AT ALL, IS IT?
WELL, THAT'S NOT A HARD QUESTION AT ALL, IS IT?
*clears throat*
Honestly, though, I have no idea. There are so many characters I love, and I tend to love stories with huge casts of characters or at least 'teams' [Buffy, Warehouse 13, Leverage, Glee, etc. etc], so I wouldn't want to meet just one character from those. I'd want to meet everyone.
Can I just say the entire Scooby Gang? It's not one character, but it's as close as I'm gonna get.
What's your favorite song to listen to right now?
The Glee cover of Time Warp.
Would you rather spend a month in a house that is haunted or in a village that is haunted?
House. Haunted village freaks me out too much [what if all the villagers are evil and are plotting to kill me?], but I think I could maybe handle a haunted house. Y'know, if I carried a weapon with me at all times, hung out in the town most of the time, and didn't sleep. Or maybe the ghosts/vampires/whatever's haunting the house are nice or at least couldn't harm me, and I could hang out with them. Supernatural buddies for the win!
What inspired your current project[s]? And how different or similar is your project now from the thing that inspired it?
Well, I have a blog post on Glee personality types coming up [not sure if that counts as a project, but we'll say it does], and, um, I'm not really sure what inspired it. I just have been wanting to do it since forever, but have never gotten around to it.
And as for my current WIP, I have absolutely no idea what inspired it. I like stories with elemental powers and kick-butt female characters and sister stories and I like the idea of mixing a contemporary with a fantasy, so I guess that's how it started. Things usually don't inspire me. I usually come up with something really weird [like zombie vampires, for example] and then work on it until it's semi-coherent.
That is my writing process in a nutshell [how did we even come up with that phrase anyway? Why nutshell?].
My Best Posts
So, I'm not sure if these are really my best posts, but they're the ones I had the most fun making, so I'm putting them here.
Three Facts About Me
#1: I love fandom merch. All kinds, really, and I'm willing to splurge a bit on things that aren't really necessary [like the Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figures that are currently on my bookshelf].
#2: My favorite types of hats are pillbox hats and berets.
I may not like Rachel as a character, but her hats were great! Why does everybody hate her clothes so much? I like her style.
#3: I am not a fan of any type of condiment EXCEPT mustard. I think mustard is great. I also really like hot sauce.
My Questions
If you were spontaneously given the lead role in your favorite musical with a day to learn all your lines, what would be your gut reaction?
If you could have dinner with one cast member from one of your favorite shows, who would it be?
What is your opinion on bunnies?
Who's your favorite unlikable/problematic/villainous/just not very nice character and why?
Which do you prefer: ketchup or mustard?
I nominate:
And whoever else wants to! If you'd like to do it, and I haven't nominated you, go ahead. I'd love to see your answers.
Hands down I would choose the haunted house too. A haunted village just sounds terrifying especially from what I've heard about some small towns that aren't 'haunted'
ReplyDeleteH20 was something me and my sister watched a lot when we were younger too! We were obsessed with the blue stone necklaces and we begged our dad to get them for us for Christmas one year.
Thanks for the tag!
Right. A haunted house sounds creepy, but manageable, but a haunted village? Uh-uh. No way.
ReplyDeleteYup. My sisters and I were huuuge fans. I used to pretend I turned into a mermaid everytime I got wet, which meant I sort of crawled out of the bathtub because I "still had my tail." XD. At least I was an imaginative child.
No problem! Can't wait to see your answers.
Meeting the Scooby Gang would be amazing! I think I would pick haunted village just for more places to run to. Love the hats!
ReplyDeleteThanks for tagging me!
Right? I just think it would be so much fun. Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Rachel has excellent taste in hats. No problem!
DeleteIt was so fun reading your answers, McKayla. :) I agree being a mermaid sounds cool. (And I used to watch H20 with a friend of mine, a while ago.)

Thanks! And thanks for nominating me. It does, doesn't it? Oh, that's cool. I used to watch it with my sisters.
DeleteThanks for the tag! Your questions are going to be fun to answer. Being a mermaid for a week would be epic!
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I can't wait to see your answers. It definitely would!
