Five Ways To Treat The Earth BetterFive Ways To Treat The Earth Better Hello, nice to see you again. Today I’ll be talking about the importance of being good to the Earth. Now, why does this matter? Aren’t ‘’earth-friendly’’ people just annoying? Well, no, actually, we are not. Here’s why saving the Earth matters: The ice caps are melting, which not only means that polar bears and other arctic animals will lose their homes but the Earth will flood, and everyone will die. Also, for while we are still living it pollutes the air, and causes things such as Red Tide. Luckily, you can join Team Green, and stop polluting the Earth. Here’re five easy ways to treat the Earth better: 1: Grow A Garden This may take more time than the other items on this list but it’s very helpful for two reasons: 1: This was you don’t have to buy vegetables in the store, wrapped in plastic wrap and 2: Planting trees and plants are better for the Earth but I’m still not sure why. Oh, and you get the added bonus of it being cheaper. 2: Recycle This step is probably the easiest, and I don’t see why you shouldn’t do it. Instead of throwing things away you can recycle them, and also buy things made from recycled materials. 3: Eat Less Processed Food Now, I know it’s nearly impossible to cut all processed foods, but we can certainly try. If you don’t have a garden, buy organic fruits, eggs and meat. Now, most people avoid meat but if nobody ate meat there’d be too many animals, and we’d have to kill them, anyway. There are some organic meat industries, where they don’t harm animals. Also, you can make most versions of fast food and desserts at home. If there’s no way to avoid processed food [like you’re out shopping for the day, you’re starving, and you forgot to pack lunch] then it’s perfectly fine. This is probably the hardest step, and you don’t have to cut processed foods completely at first. 4: Use organic skin-care products There are tons of companies that offer organic toothpaste, shampoo, lotion and makeup that you can use instead of the chemical kind [it actually works better, too]. There are even more recipes for making your own that you could try. 5: Buy Things Used Yeah, so factories create pollution, and most things are made by underage kids in sweatshops in China. I completely understand wanting things, and it’s not bad. You can still buy things if you get them from a thrift shop, and ebay or mercari. Also, things are MUCH cheaper when you buy them used, so bonus point! Well, that’s all for today. There are more ways to be green but these are five very major ones. Are you willing to join Team Green, and follow these five steps? Comment below and tell me how these worked for you, and if you found any new ways to be green.
