Book Review: The Amateurs

Hello, everyone. I’m trying to find new and interesting ways to introduce myself, aaaaaaand that was just plain boring. *clears throat* Heyyyyy, people! There. Sounded much more like me. Anyway, I’m here to do a book review on The Amateurs by Sara Shepard. It’s the first book in the series. The premise of the story is there’s a website that’s full of true crime geeks [the main characters of the book being Seneca [can’t remember her last name] and Maddy Wright who both use that website] and the website is contacted by Aerin Kelly, whose sister, Helena Kelly disappeared then died five years ago, and asks them to solve her murder over spring break. Seneca, Maddy, and another true crime buff, Brett go over to help Aerin figure out what happened to Helena.
Rating: 7 out of 10 stars
Warnings: A bit of violence due to murder, and a couple swear words
Commentary: I thought it was a really good book---not the best but definitely not the worst----, and it was a mystery I couldn’t solve.
Have you read The Amateurs? What have you been reading recently?
