Legally Blonde Review [Take Two]

Hi. Well, I'm reviewing Legally Blonde again [it was the first movie review that I ever did on this blog], and I wanted to see what I thought of it a year later.
And, also, I have sisters who are twins and they had a birthday recently, and this is the only movie they both like.

Genres: Comedy
Director: Robert Luketic
Writer: Karen McCullah
Cast: Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Matthew Davis, Victor Garber, Jennifer Coolidge, Holland Taylor, Ali Larter, Oz Perkins, Linda Cardenelli, Meredith Scott Lynn
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Elle Woods, a fashionable sorority girl is dumped by her boyfriend. She decides to follow him to law school, while she is there, she figures out there is more to her than just her looks.
My Thoughts: So.....this does not look like my kind of movie at all. However, last year we were watching trailers for movies, and this one looked funny. And it is funny, and just a fun movie. The cast was great [Matthew Davis' smile made him look so evil]. Reese Witherspoon in particular stands out. She balanced her role well. Selma Blair deserves an honorable mention, too. She was great.
Also, Meredith Scott Lynn's character, Enid, was great. I wanted to see so much more of her.

I really do want to swim in Elle's family's pool. It looks fun.
So, not my favorite movie of all time but pretty good.
It'd be a good family-move night movie [well, there is language, and a few sexual references], so older kids, maybe? Everyone in my family likes it.
So, yeah, it's a fun movie and you should watch it, if you haven't already.

Comments

  1. Interestingly enough I've now watched Legally Blonde though it isn't my favorite movie it certainly is a good one. :) So it is neat to see how your posts have grown and changed over a year by just reading your two different reviews of Legally Blonde .
