LOST Season One Review

So, here's the review I promised you all.
I've had a major struggle finding a new show to watch [I mean, I finished Firefly, then Warehouse 13 before that, and Longmire before that], so what show could compete with any of those?
Answer: Lost
Rating: TV-14
Genres: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Creators: J.J Abrams, Jeffrey Lieber, Damon Lindelof
Cast: Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway, Evangeline Lilly, Naveen Andrews, Emilie de Ravin, Jorge Garcia, Maggie Grace, Ian Somerhalder, Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, Terry O'Quinn, Dominic Monaghan, Harold Perrineau, Malcolm David Kelley,
Summary: When their plane crashes on a mysterious island, forty-eight survivors must figure out a way to fend for themselves, while they wait for someone to rescue them, while strange things keep happening on the island.
My Thoughts: So I really, really, really liked LOST. As in, there were some days where I just wanted to sit and keep watching episodes 'till I finished the show. Of course, it's a very strange show, and definitely not for everyone. It's action-packed, and ends in a cliffhanger every single episode [ok, maybe not quite every single one, but close]. That's actually a good thing for me, as I love action and cliffhangers.
The biggest thing that stands out to me is the characters. There are fourteen main characters, and they are all well-developed, even if I don't like all of them [*cough* *cough* Boone], they were well written. Each episode focuses on the backstory of a certain character [through flashbacks], as well as the problems they are facing on the island.
I would also strongly recommend this show to sci-fi/fantasy lovers, as well as fans of The Force Awakens or the 2009 Star Trek movie, since J.J Abrams created this,
Characters
 Jack Shephard
A doctor, and the leader of the Flight 815 survivors. Jack is practical, smart, and your classic ''good guy'' hero, who wants to save everyone. Jack wasn't my favorite, but he's a good character and I didn't dislike him.
James 'Sawyer' Ford
Sawyer is pretty much Jack's opposite: he's rude, he's aloof, he's a bit more ruthless, and believes in big picture thinking [i.e what's best for everyone on the island, as opposed to each individual person]. I honestly thought Sawyer was a huge jerk at first, but I've liked him more as the series goes on. Probably because we learn more about him.

Kate Austin
A criminal, and sort of the mediator between Sawyer and Jack. She volunteers for pretty much every task, and really doesn't want people to know about her past.
I have to say, I think Kate's one of my other favorites. She's tough, but kind, confident, but not cocky,.....you get the point. And, yes, Kate keeps a lot of secrets, and has trouble following the rules, but it seemed very fitting for her character.

 Sayid Jarrah
Sayid is yet another character I really like. He's good with numbers and gadgets, so he's pretty much the island's smart guy. I don't really know how much I can say, without spoiling anything, but I like him. He's well-developed. Also, besides Hurley, this guy has just the worst luck.
Claire Littleton
Claire is seven months pregnant when the plane crashes, so everyone is kinda protective of her. She's very sweet and kind, and sort of the heart of the group. She's also pretty optimistic, despite all the troubles they face. However, sweet nature aside, Claire is not someone you want to mess with. She's very fierce and determined when she sets her mind to something.  Claire is tied for my all-time favorite LOST character.

 Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes
Hurley is my other favorite. He's this normal, nice, goofy guy. Hurley also has the worst luck, and bad things usually happen to him. Hurley is absolutely hilarious, and he's a great, lovable character [I don't know anyone who dislikes him].
Shannon Rutherford
Shannon is the rich, slightly snobby, spoiled brat of the group. She comes off as very annoying at first, but, due to character development, she slowly becomes less annoying. So, overall, Shannon's one of my least favorites, but I think she's a good character.

 Boone Carlyle
Boone is my least favorite character. He's well developed, but he just came off as sort of weird and creepy to me. Again, due to spoilers, I can't really say much more about him.
Jin Kwon
Jin is the only character who doesn't speak English at all, so it's hard to get to know him at first. He seemed kind of aloof and abusive at first, but as I've gotten to know his character better, I like him more.

Sun Kwon
Jin's sweet and quiet wife. She is very well-educated, and even speaks English. Sun is a great character, and while she isn't my favorite, I do really like her.

John Locke
Locke is.......a little eccentric. He's a great hunter, though. I'm not his biggest fan, but I don't hate him. Honestly, he mostly just confuses me.

Charlie Pace
Charlie is the bass player in a rock band, and he always tries to be helpful.....which ends up with mixed results, most of the time. He's a great character, and he's very protective of Claire.
Anyway, I do really like Charlie.

 Michael Dawson
Walt's dad, who's a talented artist, and works for a construction company. Honestly, Michael isn't my favorite. I mean, I know people have tempers [I know I do] but his seemed a little.....much.
Walt Lloyd
Michael's son, who's ten. So, again, Walt isn't my favorite, but he's better than most kids on TV.
So those were my thoughts on LOST. It's a great show, and you should watch it.
And. yes, I know she doesn't appear 'till later, but I can't resist a Michelle Rodriguez GIF [in terms of TV crushes, she's second only to Tricia Helfer].
Have you seen LOST? Favorite character? Or if you haven't seen it, do you want to?
Later, dudes.
