Double Review [aka I review Season Two of Buffy, and Riverdale]

Image
Heya, everyone. Usually I do individual reviews, but today I'm going to review Season Two of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Season Two of Riverdale, since I finished them around the same time, and I already reviewed the first season of both. Let's start with Buffy, shall we? So, I'll just assume that you've read my review of the first season, and know what the premise is, and who the cast is, and all that. This time we have a different big bad. Two, actually. Spike and Drusilla [you'll get to hear my thoughts on them later].  My Thoughts: What I Liked: -The originality. Even though the show is called Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she doesn't just fight vampires. In Season Two, there's a Halloween-themed episode, one that involves fish monsters, one with a werewolf, one that involved the tragic love story of two ghosts, one with a love potion, and one with a creature that sucks the lives out of children, and that's just the tip of the iceberg! So many monsters

50 Things That Make Me Happy Tag

Image
Hi, all. If you live in the U.S, then happy Thanksgiving! So, since Thanksgiving is all about being thankful, I decided to do this tag. And, yes, I squeezed in a few extra things, because so many things make me happy. Okay, let's get started. Also, this is in no particular order. 1: God 2: Friends 3: Family 4: Animals 5: Writing 6: Reading 7: Movies/TV shows 8: Music 9: Sports 10: The outdoors 11: Skateboarding 12: Archery 13: Fashion 14: Makeup 15: Fandoms 16: Blogging 17: Holidays 18: Sarcasm 19: Musicals 20: GIFs 21: Jewelry 22: Reading blogs 23: Climbing Trees (what? Reading books in trees is underrated) 24: Libraries and Bookstores 25: Cats [yes, I already did animals, but cats get a special mention 26: Vacations 27: My Wall Collage (I'm planning to do a room tour soon, so you'll get to see it then) 28: Fires [safe fires that is, not wildfires] 30: Fictional characters 31: Days off of school 32: Goofing around with my siblings 33: Exploring new places 34: Adventures 3

The Sunshine Blogger Award [which I may or may not have stolen]

Image
Hellllooo. So, Sam did this award, and I loved her questions, so I decided to steal this tag (although she did give me permission to, so does it really count as stealing?). Let's get to it, shall we? Sam's Questions What is a genre that you didn't think you would enjoy when you first started reading [or watching] it, but now really do? Man, that's hard. I'm usually pretty open-minded when it comes to trying new things. Okay, you know what, I do have one: romance. Why did I hate romance? Oh, because my slightly judgemental past self thought that it was stupid and boring, despite not having read any romance books, and then I gave it a shot and, what do you know, it wasn't so bad. Sure, some of them are cliche and boring, but so are books in literally every single other genre . I am definitely a romantic when it comes to fiction [not so much IRL]. Like, I love to ship other characters together, I love to read other people's fanfiction, and I love to throw thi

Shut up, Heather:My Thoughts on Heathers: The Musical

Image
Greetings and salutations, everyone. Back in September, I did a post like this on Mean Girls: The Musical [which is my favorite musical of all time. I'd really appreciate if you read it, if you haven't already], so I decided it was high time I do a post like this on my second favorite musical. Without further ado, let's get into it. ''Beautiful'' -We open with Barrett Wilbert Weed singing. That's always a good sign. -''We were so tiny, happy and shiny. Playing tag and getting chased.'' -Man, her voice is freakin' gorgeous.  -''Welcome to my school. This ain't no high school. This is the Thunderdome.'' -''But I know, I know, life can be beautiful. I pray, I pray for a better way.'' -''We can be beautiful.....just not today.'' -Ooh, I love how this song is introducing all of the characters. It really helps if you haven't seen the movie. -It's, like, less than a song in, and Ve

Let's Talk Characters: Glee's The Unholy Trinity

Image
Hi, everybody. I usually don't post two days in a row, but I have a ton of half-finished drafts, and I thought it'd be a good idea to actually complete and post some of them before I write new ones. Now, onto the post.  I absolutely love Glee. It is one of my all-time favorite shows. I've rewatched it a lot, and the characters and stories mean a lot to me. Sure, it's not always the best quality, but it holds a very special place in my heart. So, today, we're going to be talking about three of my favorite Glee characters: The Unholy Trinity. The Unholy Trinity are McKinley High School's resident mean girl clique. They started out that way, at least, but they became less that way after season one. All three of them are my favorite female characters on Glee [My favorite male character is Kurt, by far]. The thing that Glee did really well was giving them each depth and characterization. How many movies/shows can you think of with a trio of mean girls where one is th

Book Review: Lovely War by Julie Berry

'Ello, there. This is my British male alter ego, Phil Michael, speaking, and he's here to welcome you to my blog again. Today I will be reviewing Lovely War, which is one of the best books I've read all year. Lovely War is a YA historical romance. It's about Aphrodite being put on trial by her husband, and her calling three witnesses [also Greek gods], to tell about what she believed was some of her finest work. The actual story is set during WW1, and it's technically two romances. One is between Hazel, a reserved, shy, pianist, and James, a dreamy soldier who wants to be an archeologist, and the other is between Aubrey, an energetic musician, and one of the few black soldiers in the war, and Colette, a Belgian orphan with a traumatic past.  What I Liked -Oh my goodness, almost everything. Like I said, this books one of my favorites that I've read all year. I can't believe it took me this long to read it. *shakes head* It's amazing.  -The characters. We
