A Heart-Shaped Box of OTPs Tag

Helllllloooo, hey, hi, and howdy, bloggers and blog readers. I found this tag on Christine Smith's blog. It's part of a linkup from February 2019, so, me being me, I decided that November 2020 was the perfect time to do it. Yup, that's me, resurrecting tags from beyond the grave. I mean, I don't even care that it's late, because this tag may just me by favorite one ever created, because it's all about OTPs. *cue intense screaming*
OTP is fandom slang for One True Pairing. You're really not supposed to have more than one, but I definitely do. A good portion of these are non-canon, which means that they don't actually happen, so I just pretend they do.  Let's just get into this before it takes all day.
Original Chocolate Heart:The OTP That Started It All:
Gosh, I don't know. See, I didn't use to ship characters until fairly recently, soooo.......yeah, I don't know.
Okay, you know what? I'm gonna go out a limb here, and say Percy and Annabeth. Because the Percy Jackson books were my favorite when I was around 9-10 [and they still are], and I remember thinking they made a good couple. *shrugs* I have no idea if this is actually correct or not, but oh well.
Also, I remember liking Jane and Carlos from the Descendants movies.
And, y'know what? I still like both of these ships. They deserve all the love.
Dark Chocolate: The OTP With the Most Drama:
Oh, Betty and Jughead from Riverdale, hands down.
I mean, for a Riverdale couple, they don't actually have a whole lot of drama, but it's Riverdale, so there's a fair amount of drama. I mean, I don't want to spoil too much, so let's just say that things certainly aren't always easy between these two.
Caramel Filled: An OTP That's Simple and Sweet:
Is there such a thing? XD. Ummmmm, how about Adam and Barbara from Beetlejuice?
I mean, it's not like anything that happens to them is simple, but their relationship itself was very sweet and drama-less. I mean, just listen to some of their songs. Plus, they were the first couple to come to my head, and I'm usually in favor of going with my gut.
Raspberry Chocolate: The Forbidden Love OTP:
Hmmmmm, I have to agree with Christine here, and say Snow and Chayse from Falling Snow. I mean, do I even need an explanation here? Okay, you probably want an explanation. But I can't really say anything without giving away MAJOR SPOILERS, so just trust me on this one. And read it 'cause it's my personal favorite in the Five Poisoned Apples anthology.
White Chocolate: The Odd OTP You Still Manage to Love:
Dan and Ella from Lucifer.
I mean, their personalities are very different, and their lives, in general, are very different. I mean, they did kiss, but then they went their seperate ways, romantically, so I'm not sure if it will actually happen, but I ship it.
Peanut Butter Chocolate: The OTP Everyone and Their Sisters Ship:
Well, that'd be none, for me. My sister, Amber, is super opposed to shipping. Xd.
Um, maybe Flynn and Rapunzel from Tangled? Lots of people ship them, and I think it's a great ship. No further explanation needed.
Cherry-Filled: The OTP That You Fear No One Knows About:
Heather Duke and Veronica from Heathers.
I'm kind of cheating for this one, because it's not so much that no one knows about it as much as people don't ship it, which, on one hand, I'm totally fine with [No, I'm not. I'm just saying that to be polite], but, on the other hand, it does make me just a little confused as to why this Heathers ship is significantly less popular than Heather C. and Veronica, or Heather M. and Veronica. I mean, the dynamic between these two is the greatest, and I think it was less than ten minutes into the movie, and I was like, ''Yeah, I ship it.''
Although, Heathers isn't super popular in the blogosphere, so I guess this technically kinda counts.
Seriously, though, tell me that you ship them and I will love you forever.
Chocolate with Almond: The Fun and Nutty OTP:
Cady and Janis from Mean Girls.
I mean, Cady's super naive, genuinely likes math, and spent her childhood exploring Africa with her researcher parents, and Janis is.....Janis. Seriously, I could not think of a funner [it's a word, I swear] or nuttier OTP. And this one other people besides myself actually ship, so yay!
Chocolate with Coconut: The OTP Who Came from Different Backgrounds:
Cheryl and Toni from Riverdale.
Toni's a punk Southside Serpent who came from a poor family, and is normally a sweet and kind person, while Cheryl's very feminine, extremely rich, with a horrible family, and she's kind of bratty and abrasive, but can be kind. I mean, yes, they're very different, but, also, I SHIP IT SO HARD.
Mint Chocolate: The OTP You'll Love Until You Die:
3....2......1.....BRITTANA!
If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you probably know that I'm ridiculously obsessed with Glee, and that Brittana is, like, my favorite couple of all time. I could make a whole post just on them. THEY ARE WORTH WATCHING THE SHOW FOR, and I'll still ship them when I'm ninety-five. And, if you don't ship them.....I mean, how? LOOK AT HOW PRECIOUS THEY ARE. #Brittanaforever.
Orange Creme: The OTP You Never Expected to Love:
Both of the couples from Lovely War. I mean, I expected to like them, but I never expected to ship either of them as much as I did. Gonna try and avoid spoilers here, so I won't say anything more.
Salted Caramel: The OTP Who Worked the Most on Their Relationship:
Ooooh, that's a hard one. Kurt and Blaine from Glee.
I mean, things usually go pretty well for them, but they also have to work through lots of problems, so I feel like they fit here.
Chocolate Covered Raisins: The Young OTP You Hope Will Work Out One Day:
Rachel and Quinn from Glee.
Faberry, Quinnchel, whatever you wanna call it. I mean, they're not canon, but they seemed to care more about each other, and had better chemistry than with any of their love interests, plus I just like them together. Let's hope that after Season Six, they finally get around to dating.
Also, Kevin and Moose from Riverdale. Kevin deserves the best.
Chocolate Jalepeno: The OTP That Can't Be Together But You Ship It Anyways
Buffy and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I mean, it's certainly possible that they end up together [it's a Joss Whedon show, after all. Anything can happen], but as of mid-season two, it seems unlikely. I still ship it.
Ferrero Rocher: The best dressed/best looking OTP:
100000% Betty and Veronica from Riverdale. I mean, Betty has this cute, preppy style, and Veronica has an edgy, hyper-feminine style, and imagine what their room would be like. Very aesthetically pleasing for sure.
Chocolate Covered Coffee Bean: The energetic OTP that keeps you on your toes:
Audrey Rose, and Thomas from Stalking Jack the Ripper. They're very busy solving mysteries, with a good side dose of banter. Audrey Rose is definitely the more energetic of the two, but still. Shipping them was exhausting.
Chocolate Dipped Strawberry: The OTP That's Just Absolutely Adorable:
Simon and Kaylee from Firefly.
They would've fit for the last question, too [at least Kaylee would've. Simon, not so much]. They're just so adorable and sweet. Also, strawberries are Kaylee's favorite food, so this is very fitting.
Also, Oz and Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. These two are adorable.
Chocolate With Nougat: The OTP That's Full of Fluff and Nonsense:
Fitz and Simmons from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Do I even need an explanation for this one? These two are the fluffiest, and the best.
Chocolate with Walnuts: The OTP With the Bumpiest Relationship:
Ooooooh, this is so hard. Maybe Chloe and Lucifer from Lucifer? Idk, this is all I can think of right now.
Chocolate Butterscotch: The OTP With the Best Banter:
Oh, definitely Mal and Inara from Firefly. Their banter was on point. Yet another reason why Firefly should have lasted longer. We could all use some more Mal and Inara in our lives.
Well, that's the end of that incredibly long post. Feel free to do the tag if you want to. Like I said, it's an old linkup, but that certainly didn't stop me. If you ship any of these couples, tell me, so we can squeal about them.
Which couple did you like best? Do you agree with my choices?

Comments

  1. Percy and Annabeth is such a good ship, I haven't seen/read the others so I couldn't really comment on them. But I remember when I did start reading Percy Jackson that I shipped them so hard. Now I'm weirdly like, you know Annabeth could go off and join the Hunters of Artemis now.

So I guess my opinion on that ship has changed a bit. XD

  2. It is.
Yup, me too. 10000%, and I didn't even know what shipping was.
Ooh, you should read and watch the others (I mean, for reasons besides shipping), and see what you think of them.
Yeah, I mean they're not my favorite ship of all time, but they're pretty good.

  3. Oz and Willow!!! (My heart) Kaylee and Simon are so cute too!
I ship Buffy and Spike more than her and Angel though Joss does some things with them I wish he wouldn't.
EEP Chayse and Snow!!!! Was not prepared to have my characters on here! Thanks for including them. *flails*
    :D

  4. Oz and Willow are the cuuuuuutest. As are Kaylee and Simon (Kaylee is the cutest, in general. She's such a cinnamon roll).
I like Spike so far, and I'm verrryyy curious to see what will happen next with him. I need to do some more binge-watching.
You're welcome. Falling Snow is my fav Snow White retelling, so, of course I had to include Snow and Chayse.

  5. Jane and Carlos are adorable!! Probably my favorite couple in Descendants. I also LOVE Snow and Chayse, they are just wow. One of my OTPs for sure. You're not the only one who uses old tags, because I do the same thing, and I actually want to do this one. Maybe in February.

  6. Yes, absolutely! Mine too.
Yesss. Snow and Chayse are AMAZING *squeals*.
Oh, good. I'm not the only one.
Oooohhh, I'd love to see your answers if you decide to do it.
