April Recap
I feel like time is going by way faster than it's supposed to, and I don't know how to stop it. Help?
I had a pretty good April [I think. I can't remember most of it]. How about you?
Anyway, let's get on with the recap.
Books I Read in April
Movies/TV Shows I Watched in April
Season One, and part of Season two, but I kind of lost interest in it after awhile.
Seasons Four and Five
Seasons Two and Three
If you've seen the show, who are your favorites? So far I like Fred and Lorne best.
The rest of Season One.
I love this show so much! Would y'all like to see a review of it [don't question the y'all thing. I know it's weird, but it's oddly satisfying to write]?
And I just re-watched some of my favorite episodes for both shows. I have introduced my family to Buffy, and I think they like it so far. I managed to predict both of my sisters favorites, so that's cool.
Events of April
-I finished editing my novella! One day this month I just decided that I was done with editing and I was going to work until I finished it. After that, I shared it with my family, and they were all really supportive and sweet about it.
-I was out running errands with my family one day, and we decided to stop at Barnes and Noble [this is where I picked up The Girls I've Been], and one of the cashiers had on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer mask, on the same day that I had on my Buffy shirt, so we complimented each other. It's always nice to see fellow fans IRL.
-Also, I introduced my sister to Stranger Things! It's now her favorite show. My fangirl credit is pretty high this month. *is pleased*
-I spent a ridiculous amount of my free time making fandom collages. I have a bunch, so maybe I'll just make a post about them.
-Also, there was Easter! How was your Easter? Mine was pretty great. Many desserts were eaten [I mean, that's not why it was great, but it certainly adds to it].
Also, I'm doing a Q&A next month, so be sure and comment your questions if you haven't already.
-I don't think I did anything else that was too interesting? It was a pretty quiet month.
So, how was your April? Did you do anything exciting?
Sounds like a pretty good April! I'd love to see your collages aswell!
ReplyDeleteIt was! Yeah, I'll have to make a post about them.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had an amazing April, McKayla. :) My April went well, I got at least half of my Gothic Horror story written and I am extremely pleased with it so far.
ReplyDeleteAlso as for your novella, whenever you're ready, I'd love to read it or read a blog post about it. :D
-Quinley
I did! Ooh, that's exciting.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm not sure if I'll end up doing a post about it or not, but it's nice to know you're interested.
You read Howl's Moving Castle! What did you think? For some reason when I first read it I wasn't particularly attached (I love it now) but then it sort of took over so I'm always curious what other people's first impression of it is.
ReplyDeleteI love when you get to show your fandoms to siblings or other people and they get equally invested. It's the best. It's also a little terrifying because there's always that small part of it that feels like yours and you don't want to share it, at least for me. But again, it's also the best.
Glad you had such a good April. I agree with the not being able to remember it part. Like it's fine, but also what was it?
Yeah! I'm so glad Christine made her post about it (back in March) because I was like, "Okay, I need to read this." I definitely really liked it! It was cozy ans whimsical, and fairytale-y, which I loved.
ReplyDeleteYeah! It's really exciting when they love it as much as you do.
Right! I had a great time this month, but also I barely remember most of it. I guess because not much happened, so all the days kind of blended together in my head.
Glad you had a good month. Congrats on finishing editing your book!
ReplyDeleteLove Howl's Moving Castle!
I did!
DeleteThanks. Editing was fun, but I'm glad to be done.
I do too! It's so good.
I'm glad that you had a good April! Those collages sound awesome so I would love to see them. Congrats on finishing your novella!!
ReplyDeleteSharing favorite fandoms or just seeing people IRL who love them, too, is the best!
How was the book Of Fire and Stars? I've never heard of it but the cover is awesome. Ah!!! You finished Julie and the Phantoms!! I would love to read a review of it!! My favorite show ever so I can't wait to see what you say about it.
I did!
DeleteYeah, maybe I'll make a collage post. They were all fun to make. Thank you so much!
It really is! Sharing fandoms is fantastic.
I have mixed feelings about Of Fire and Stars. I loved the cover, and I thought the romance was cute, but the story and characters were a little flat.
Yes! I think I'll definitely do a review. I really loved it. Thank you so much for making posts about it. I don't know if I would have watched it without those.
That’s exciting!! Julie and the Phantoms was pretty good!
ReplyDeleteIt was! I really liked it.
