My Ten Favorite ''Unlikable'' Characters

Image
Hello! I hope you're all having a good day. Today I thought I'd talk about a few of my favorite ''unlikable'' characters. It's hard to explain what my reasoning is, but I'm including characters who are more mean or grumpy or stabby [shhh, that's a word] than their teammates, but do the right thing in the end. Does that make sense? Great, let's get started.  #1: Spencer Hastings, Pretty Little Liars I debated whether or not I wanted to include Spencer on this list because, first of all, Pretty Little Liars isn't the most well-written show, and, second of all, I'm not sure if she's  morally ambigious enough to include, but I eventually decided to include her anyway, because all the Liars would count as anti-heroes in my opinion. Spencer is the intelligent overachiever of the group, the leader of the Liars and sort of the lead detective in finding A, plus the only one who stood up to Alison. I greatly admire her intellect and ambition, e

Movies/TV Shows That Give Me Fall Vibes

Image
Hello! So, since it's October, I've really been feeling the fall vibes recently, so here are a few movies/shows that give me fall/spooky season vibes. Buffy the Vampire Slayer This one is pretty obvious since it does involve vampires and other supernatural creatures-----plus there are several Halloween episodes [and a Thanksgiving episode], but it doesn't mean it's any less of a good show. The characters, dialogue and story are all fantastic, and, if you're as much of a vampire nerd as I am, you'll love this show.  Stranger Things Everything about this show screams Halloween. Everything from the visuals to the special effects to the script. It is kind of a horror show, so, again, that makes sense. In my opinion, it's a nice one to watch if you're not a fan of horror movies, but still want to watch something a bit spooky. Also, Winona Ryder is in it, so that's a plus.  Hocus Pocus It's campy, fun and actually set on Halloween, which might make it

Fall Into Fall Book Tag

Image
Hello! As we all know by now, it is fall, and, not only fall, but spooky season and I am fully falling into the aesthetic of fall, so I thought I'd do this tag from  The Bookish Coffee Blog , plus include some photos that I took recently. I am definitely not an expert photographer, but it was beautiful outside and I wanted to take pictures. Onto the tag! Apple Picking: A Bright, Shiny Book On Your Shelf Are we talking about the cover or the actual story? I think that Queens of Geek is my brightest book. It's a really bright, shiny shade of hot pink. Pumpkin Spice: A Book That Everyone Loves That Doesn't Sit Well With You I know that a lot of Colleen Hoover's books are popular, but I really hate the two that I've read-----November 9 and It Ends With Us. I find the plots boring and the romances incredibly toxic. Fall Leaves Tour: A Gorgeously Written Journey So many books. There are so many beautiful books. The first one that comes to mind is The Seven Husbands of Ev

Movie Review: Do Revenge

Image
Hey, all! It's fall and I'm back and better than ever.  No, but seriously I've been feeling extra inspired lately, and it's great. It's been awhile since I've done a movie review, so I thought I'd do one now.  Cast: Camila Mendes, Maya Hawke, Austin Abrams, Rish Shah, Talia Ryder, Alisha Boe, Ava Capri, Sophie Turner, Sarah Michelle Geller Director: Jennifer Kayton Robinson Writers: Celeste Ballard, Jennifer Kayton Robinson Rating: TV-MA Summary: After her nudes are leaked by her boyfriend, Max [Austin Abrams], Drea Torres [Camila Mendes] is furious about becoming a social outcast and the fact that Max isn't facing any consequences for his actions. Then she meets Eleanor [Maya Hawke], a girl who's lonely and angry after being outed as a lesbian and having a false rumor about her being a predator was spread. Drea and Eleanor decide to team up and each get revenge on each others bullies.  My Thoughts: I'm gonna be honest: I loved this movie. I did

September Recap

Image
Hello! I'm finally back from my hiatus. Taking a month off from blogging was a really great decision. I'm in a much better mental space and i'm currently overflowing with creativity. I don't know if it's because I took a break or because October is my favorite month, but, either way, let's get into the recap. What I Read  What I Watched In September What I Did In September -School. September was the first month this school year that was the full month, and I think it's going pretty well. I'm getting good grades, and i like some of my classes [and dislike some, but we won't talk about that]. -Cross Country So, cross country season was in full force this month. We had a lot of meets and practices and I think I've improved quite a lot and I did pretty well at most meets, and I really like my team and have fun at practice and meets. Getting up at 4 a.m for some meets, however......that I could do without.  -Writing I honestly don't remember much
