Movies/TV Shows That Give Me Fall Vibes

Hello! So, since it's October, I've really been feeling the fall vibes recently, so here are a few movies/shows that give me fall/spooky season vibes.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
This one is pretty obvious since it does involve vampires and other supernatural creatures-----plus there are several Halloween episodes [and a Thanksgiving episode], but it doesn't mean it's any less of a good show. The characters, dialogue and story are all fantastic, and, if you're as much of a vampire nerd as I am, you'll love this show.
Stranger Things
Everything about this show screams Halloween. Everything from the visuals to the special effects to the script. It is kind of a horror show, so, again, that makes sense. In my opinion, it's a nice one to watch if you're not a fan of horror movies, but still want to watch something a bit spooky. Also, Winona Ryder is in it, so that's a plus.
Hocus Pocus
It's campy, fun and actually set on Halloween, which might make it the only one on this list that is set on Halloween and doesn't just have spooky vibes. The characters are all entertaining [especially the Sanderson sisters] and it's just straight up hilarious.
The Addams Family
Again, this is just a Halloween classic. It has allll the Halloween vibes, it's delightfully quirky and all the characters are such a blast. Also,  Christina Ricci is just so talented.
Mean Girls
This is a bit of an odd one on this list, since it's not spooky or supernatural buuut Mean Girls Day is October 3, and a pretty pivotal plot point happens during the Halloween party, so I think it counts [I have very low standards for what counts as a Halloween story].
Lucifer
Again, it's not especially scary, but there is a Halloween episode and it does involve the supernatural, plus some of the episodes are a bit scary, so I think it's a good Halloween rec.
Anything Tim Burton really
Beetlejuice generally gives me the most ''Halloween'' vibes, but most of his movies would work. Everything from the plot to the filming style to the costumes all give off very strong ''Halloween'' vibes.
So, those are my Halloween recommendations. What are some of yours?

  1. All of these are fantastic choices, I love Over the Garden Wall, X-files for this time of year, and I'm trying to finish up the last season of Buffy.
