The Sister Tag

Hey. I found this tag on  Lanie's  blog, and decided to steal it to do with my two sisters, because it just looked so fetch. To make things less confusing we'll be using different colors. Sister #1 will be writing in aqua and her fake name [since she can't use her real name] is Marie. Sister #2's color is pink and her fake name is Amber. My color is purple, and I'll just be using my usual name.  Feel free to steal this tag to do with your sisters [or brothers].  Which of you is older? Marie: Amber. Amber: Me! McKayla: Well, technically, I'm the oldest, but of those two, Amber is older. Amber: Oreo! Sneeze in the old tissue box.  McKayla: Marie's looking for a tissue box for a craft project, and Amber wants our cat to sneeze into it.  What's your favorite thing to do together? Marie: Um, I'm gonna say practice plays performances/singing and dancing. Amber: Hey! Why did you say that? I was gonna say that! Probably dramatic performing of any type. M...

Musicals You Should Listen To

Image
It's a revennnnnge party A party that ends with somebody's head on a spike Woah woah It's a reveeeeeenge party with your two best friends It's like a party with revenge is what it's like Oh, wait a second, I was supposed to make a post that actually made sense instead of just singing random song lyrics?  Let's start over then, okay?  *clears throat* Hi, my name is McKayla, and I am obsessed with musicals. I mean it. I even had a dream that was a musical once. Of course, I have plenty of things I'm obsessed with, but let's keep it at musicals for now.  So, I thought that I'd make a post about my favorite musicals, why you should listen to them, and my favorite songs from said musical.  This isn't really in any specific order. You can find all of these on YouTube or Spotify. Anyway, let's get started.  Beetlejuice: The Musical Beetlejuice is a delightfully strange musical. It has its own distinct style, and it's a very fun musical. If you l...

Sorting Mean Girls Characters Into Hogwarts Houses

Image
3....2......1.....Happy Mean Girls day! So, today, in addition to wearing pink and insuring my hair for 10,000 dollars, I decided to make a post that involves sorting these characters into their Hogwarts houses.  I'm just going to assume that you've heard of Harry Potter and, therefore, the Hogwarts houses, but, if you haven't, you can look it up.  Anyway, let's get started, shall we? Cady Heron: Ravenclaw I think Cady is a Ravenclaw. I've seen lots of people type her as Slytherin or Gryffindor, but she's got some serious Ravenclaw vibes (and not just because she's super smart). She's very curious, and lots of times she uses logic to figure out her problems. It's a lot more evident in the musical, but Movie Cady also screams Ravenclaw.  Regina George: Slytherin So, I hate to be that person who says that all Slytherins are villains or vice versa, but there's no way Regina is anything but a Slytherin. She's cunning, ambitious, sneaky, and dete...

Series Review: To All the Boys I've Loved Before

Image
Hi. I recently finished reading the To All the Boys I've Loved Before series. I read the first one last December, and thought it was good, but never got around to finishing the series. This month I decided to reread it, and then  read the other two books in the series. If you haven't heard of it, the To All the Boys series is a YA contemporary series written by Jenny Han. It's about a sixteen-year-old girl named Lara-Jean, who's taking over the responsibilities of the house since her older sister, Margot, is headed off to college. She's a very sentimental girl who, in the past, wrote a letter to every boy she's ever loved, in order to get over her crush. Then all of those letters, which she's kept hidden, get sent out, and chaos follows.  These are just my thoughts on each of the books in the series. Book One: To All the Boys I've Loved Before -This book starts out on a really nice note. Like, Lara-Jean's sister is going to college [in Scotland], an...

September Recap

Image
Well, dang-dang-diggity-dang-a-dang, September's over, and that means it's time for a monthly recap.  September feels like it went by super fast, and super slow at the same time.  Books Read in September Movies/TV Shows Watched in September Which is so fetch, by the way. I have a feeling I'll be seeing this again soon, since October 3 is Mean Girls. Season Five, and a bit of Season Six, although not much, because it's not a great season. I also rewatched some of the earlier episodes. Seasons Four and Five. I started watching the last two seasons after I finished Glee. They were great.  After I finished those two shows, I re-watched some Firefly. It's a great show.  Season One I've only seen about five episodes, but it's very good so far. Music of September I listened to a lot of music this month. At the beginning of September, it was mostly classic rock, but I mostly binge-listened to Mean Girls, and Heathers. I definitely recommend listening to both of the...
