Ranking Taylor Swift's Albums

Image
Hello. So, today I thought I'd do a ranking of Taylor Swift's albums. This list goes from my least favorite to my favorite. This is just my opinion, so it obviously won't be the same for everyone. #8: Reputation Reputation is really the only Taylor Swift album that I don't love. There are some good songs, obviously, but I just don't think it was as good as the others. While her ''Look What You Made Me Do'' music video is really good, and I like that song, I just wasn't a big fan. #7: Folklore Okay, so it was really hard to choose between this one and Lover, but I think I like Lover slightly better. Folklore is still a huge step-up from Reputation. I think it's partly because it's a new album, so the songs haven't grown on me as much. I do like how different it is from all of her other albums, and, like I said, the songs are amazing, but it's just not my favorite.  #6: Lover Lover is another really good album. I think I like it be...

Never Have I Ever Tag [Writer's Edition]

Image
Yup, I'm doing another writing tag, but it's raining, and what better time to write, right? Right. Anyway, let's get on with doing this tag. Never Have I Ever ........started a novel that I didn't finish? Yes. I have this problem where I get a good idea, and start a project, but then I get another good idea, and want to use that instead. Anyway, it's slowly getting better, I think. Maybe. I don't know. Moving on! ..........written a story completely by hand? Nope! I have horrible handwriting, and, fun fact, for a long time I didn't even like to write. That is, until my Mom let me use her computer, which was WAY easier than paper and a pencil. So, I seriously doubt this one is ever going to happen. Like, ever. ......changed tenses midway through a story? Unfortunately, yes, ......not researched anything before starting a story? Again, yes. I rarely research, which doesn't matter much in sci-fi/fantasy [which is what I usually write], but, yes, I struggle...

#AboutTheAuthor August Tag

Image
Hello. I found this on Christine's blog [ christinesmithauthor.com ], and thought it looked like fun, plus it gives me a chance to tell you all more about my story. This tag was created by Jameson [ https://www.jamesoncsmith.com/ ]. 1.} Introduce yourself Hey, I'm McKayla, I'm a writer, athlete, geek, INTP, Gryffindor, animal lover, blogger, and lover of stories, pop culture, and multidimensional characters. I like pizza, hiking, overly feminine fashion, fandoms, sports, adventures, and talking about stories. I'm one of the few people I know who likes snakes. I dislike hypocrites, salads, snobs, domestic work, and school. I live in the country, my favorite colors are purple and blue, and I'm tall and wear glasses. Those are the basics. 2.} Tell us about your work-in-progress and your August goals Well, I have a story and a fanfiction going on at the same time, so I'll do the non-fanfic one. The title has yet to be decided. It's about an artist of many forms...

A Study in Charlotte [Book Review]

Image
Hello. I'm here with a book review. A Study in Charlotte was written by Brittany Cavallard. It's a YA mystery. It's about the descendants of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. It's told from Jamie Watson's point of view, as he meets Charlotte Holmes. Then, someone starts committing crimes based on Sherlock Holmes stories, and it's up to this duo to figure out who's doing it [and framing them]. My Thoughts: This was a really unique idea for a YA book, and it was handled very well. The author did a very good job making this have a Sherlock Holmes feel in a more modern way. So, needless to say, I enjoyed it. It also has a couple plot twists, but it gives you clues where clues are needed, and you figure it out when Jamie and Charlotte do. The characters are also good. Jamie is similar to Dr. Watson in lots of ways, but is also clearly his own character. Charlotte is a lot like Sherlock, but, then again, it isn't told from her point of view, and she is differe...

My Favorite Glee Characters

Image
Hello, again. So, today, is a bit different. Remember when I mentioned that I have A LOT of favorite Glee characters? Well, here's a post about all of them. I mean, Santana is, without a doubt my favorite, because, c'mon, Santana is the best, but I'll try to give other characters a shot, okay? Okay. Mercedes Jones is awesome. She has an absolutely amazing singing voice [probably the best out of the whole cast] and her character is great, too. She's super sassy, very bold and spontaneous, and is really talented, in addition to that. I don't know, I've just always liked her. And the way she dresses kinda reminds me of Donna from Parks and Rec . Kurt Hummel is also great, for many reasons. He is who he is, and doesn't care what other people think of him. He's also a really good singer, and he's a good dancer, too. Kurt is usually kind, but he isn't a pushover. He's also very talented, and I like his determination. Kurt has a lot of admirable qua...

My Ten Favorite Live-Action TV Shows [August 2020 Edition]

Image
Hello. So, today, I'm going to be listing ten of my favorite TV shows, and why they're my favorites. And, for simplicity's sake, I'm just doing live-action ones. Oh, and this isn't in any particular order [I had to narrow it down to ten, no way am I doing it any more]. #10: Warehouse 13 Warehouse 13 is a sci-fi/fantasy adventure show. It was on the Syfy channel, and ran for five seasons. The basic plot is that Secret Service agents, Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering, are recruited to join a warehouse that stores all types of supernatural [and often dangerous objects], and work with grumpy and aloof Artie, and sweet and calm Leena. A few episodes in they add another character, Claudia, a rock-loving tech geek, and guitar player/singer, and in Season Three, Steve Jinks.  Warehouse 13 explores all types of wild, exciting, and often hilarious plots, but in sort of a scientific way. It's like The Librarians in some ways, but it placed more of an effort on science and te...

Hello. I think I love doing tags a bit too much. Oh, well. Let's get started. First up is the Awesome Food Award.  [This picture is not mine. It's Madison's, from  www.delightfulworldofdolls.com Questions Absolute Favorite Food of All time that you couldn't live without? That would definitely be pizza. Do you like spicy food? Yup. Uh....cheese. And meat, like Italian sausage, pepperoni, and hamburger. What did you last eat for breakfast? Eggs, a smoothie, and leftover coffee cake. What did you last eat for lunch? A sandwich, raisins, carrots, and leftover potato chips. What did you last eat for dinner? Last night was pizza night, so pizza, chips, and brownies for dessert. Do you have snacks? Yeah.
