2020 Recap

Well, 2020 has certainly been an.....interesting year, hasn't it? It wasn't all bad, though. I mean, the pandemic was bad, obviously, but there were definitely good parts of the year, too. I've been extremely lucky throughout COVID. I haven't gotten sick, no one I know has gotten sick, and I have a safe house to live in. The worst thing I've come down with is Cabin Fever. I know this year has been so hard for so many of us, so, to all of you who've lost jobs or loved ones because of COVID, I'm praying for ya. Anyway, let's see how my 2020 was. Books/Music/Movie/TV statistics of 2020 So, in 2020 I read 77 books, watched 68 movies, listened to 17, 262 minutes of Spotify, and watched a lot of TV shows that I'm too lazy to list. So, in short, I did a lot with various media forms. Oh, and, by the way, the ten favorites things aren't in the order that I like them in...just the order that I thought of them is. My Ten Favorite New-To-Me Books of 2020 Li

Reviewing Every Book I Read in December 2020

Hey, everybody. As you all know by now, it's almost the end of 2020.  *minor freakout* Anyway, I read a lot of good books this December, so here are my thoughts on all of them in the order that I read them. Ali's Pretty Little Lies, Wicked, and Killer by Sara Shepard Genres: YA/thriller/drama My Rating: 3 stars Now, don't get me wrong, I don't dislike this series, but it's not super well-written. I mean, it's great when I need something simple and easy to read, and I do like them a lot, but it hasn't made a big impact on me or anything. Ali's Pretty Little Lies is a prequel novel, and it's one of the best in the series. It's thrilling and creepy, as are all of them. Also, of the characters Spencer is my favorite [she's a snarky anti-heroine, so of course I love her], but Aria is the most like me, so I like her, too. Emily's a bit boring, but she's sweet and I love her. However, I can't stand Hanna. She annoys me so much. Anne of

My Eleven Favorite TV Christmas Episodes

Image
Hello again, and Merry Christmas Eve [how is it Christmas Eve already?????How?????]. So, today I'll be listing some of my favorite TV show Christmas episodes. So, let's get started.  #11: Liv and Maddie: Fa-la-la-A-Rooney Despite the fact that I'm not really in the age range this show was intended for [eh, what can I say? Some days I think I'm an eight-year old at heart], I still find the first few seasons of this show really funny. In this episode, Liv has to work with an evil little girl for a Christmas performance, Parker tries to get Christmas revenge on Joey, and Maddie and their dad try to decorate the best Christmas tree. It's really funny, plus Dove Cameron sings a really great rendition of ''Let It Snow'' but there are some that I like better, so that's why it's #11 on this list. Also, their mom playing the flute and practicing flag twirling are the best parts of this episode. #10: Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: Murder Under Th

My Favorite Christmas Movies + Why I Love Them

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to the first of several Christmas posts that I'll be doing. I meant to make this post earlier, but then I got sidetracked [mostly with making presents], and ran out of time. Oh, well. I'm doing it now [three days before Christmas. WHAT????]. Basically, this is me listing all of my favorite Christmas movies, and why I like them, plus a fun fact/story about them if there is one. These are just my personal favorites. It's not a list of recommendations or anything like that.  *clears throat* So, let's get started. Elf I think I saw Elf for the first time when I was nine [I may have been ten. Or eight. I just know I was around that age], and I loved it right away. It's super goofy, Buddy is hilarious, and so much fun to quote [There are so many good ones that it would take too long to write them all down]. It's also a really sweet movie, I love the scenery and Christmas atmosphere, and it's just good, old-fashioned fun. Random Story/Fa

My Favorite Season 3 Episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Image
Hello, yet again. Can you believe it's almost the end of 2020? Can you? Cuz I can't. Also, can you believe I'm posting twice in one day? 'Cuz I can't. ANYWAY, I recently finished Season Three of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I was going to review it, but there were so many things I liked about it that were the same as previous seasons, and there was also way too much that I loved to sum it up in a review, so, instead, I present.........my favorite BTVS Season Three episodes [with GIFs, of course]. I'm going in chronological order, because there's no way I could narrow this down any farther. Also, there will be minor spoilers, so read at your own risk. Anne -Honestly a great start to the season. -It feels a little more....melancholy than most BTVS episodes. But I like that.  -And, also, I FEEL FOR BUFFY. After the second season, it makes sense that she'd be upset. Was running away the best way to deal with it? No, but it's better than what I'd do

Christmas Tags

It's almost Christmas! *squeals in excitement*This post will feature some Christmas photography from me. I'm not a great photographer and I don't have a camera [I just used my phone], so I messed up quite a bit, but I think these turned out well-ish.  Anyway, I have been tagged two times, and since it's almost Christmas [and therefore ALMOST THE END OF 2020. WHERE DID THE YEAR GO?????????], and I have a lot of other Christmas-themed post ideas, I decided to do the tags today.  First of all,  Ivy  tagged me for the 12 Delights of Christmas Tag. Thank you so much.  Questions A favorite Christmas tradition? Ooh, there are so many good ones! Either watching The Polar Express with my family on Christmas Eve, or decorating Christmas sugar cookies [which is funny because I don't like cookie-decorating or baking, usually]. Mom bakes the dough, and then we have about a million cookie cutters that we use to make shapes. Then we bake them, frost them [I'm usually not allo
